Moving seamlesslybetween Australia in 2014 and Fromelles on TheWestern Front in 1916, this is a beautiful new playfrom Sandra Eldridge – Monkey Baa CreativeDirector, and master storyteller for young people.
RSL clubs are generously sponsoring the 2016season of The Unknown Soldier at the LLDQT sothat students and teachers can attend this showfor free. Please contact us to express yourinterest in being connected to this program.Phone 02 8624 9341 or [email protected].

Hitler’s Daughter by Jackie French andHitler’s Daughter – the play by MonkeyBaa are both suggested texts on the
English syllabus. Monkey Baa and the SydneyJewish Museum have collaborated on anin-depth learning event that explores themesand ideas of Hitler’s Daughter in a creative andmemorable way. In this seminar, fourprofessional actors perform key scenes from theplay and passages of the fiction text. Images, costumes, music and video from the original stageproduction make the story vivid. Facilitated bydirector (and co-writer of the play) SandieEldridge, this event will make a lastingcontribution to programs and units of work inEnglish, History and Drama.
Adding to this is a profound education programfacilitated by the Sydney Jewish Museum.Students will hear testimony from a Holocaustsurvivor, then have the opportunity to askquestions. Students have a guided tour of sectionsof the museum chosen to complement themesand ideas in Hitler’s Daughter. A unique excursionwith broad reach across KLAs and outcomes, bookearly as numbers are strictly limited.
I had never known that was in thebook. It needed the magic of MonkeyBaa to bring it out. – JACKIE FRENCH
