The current trend in architectural design
favours the use of highly reflective, sturdy
materials such as metal, glass, stone and
concrete. These materials have poor or even
non-existent acoustic absorption, creating
a real dilemma when it comes to combining
design and acoustic comfort.
Designers wishing to free themselves from
the grid plan of existing solutions such as
modular ceilings or a perforated drywall /
plasterboard finish normally must choose
between acoustics and aesthetics.

Rockfon has revolutionised the interiors world
with its Mono Acoustic TE, an innovative,
seamless monolithic ceiling and wall lining
with high acoustic absorption.

Mono Acoustic TE is suitable for contemporary
and innovative creations as well as more
constrained and traditional spaces.
Its flexibility and good acoustic properties
make Mono Acoustic TE an obvious choice for
refurbishment projects. It is a modern solution
that does not disturb the character and
original architecture of older historic buildings.
It can also be directly fixed to an existing
surface, which is particularly useful for
example in areas with low ceilings or existing
cornices, etc, that must be preserved.
Direct fixing at high level on walls is also an
ideal way to transform the room acoustics of
many spaces.

In order to ensure optimum results,
Rockfon has developed and recommends
specific components and equipment
appropriate for the installation of the
Mono Acoustic TE system.
Mono Acoustic TE can be installed on
a suspended grid or directly fixed to
an existing ceiling and wall. The panels
are fastened onto the grid. The joints are
concealed with a tape and filler. Once
the joints are completely smooth, the
complete installation is finished with Mono
Acoustic render which creates the seamless
appearance.
Please refer to the Mono Acoustic TE Technical
guide for further information.
Rockfon provides technical support and
training courses for installers to ensure a high
quality of finish and performance. Installation
must be completed by Mono Acoustic TE
authorised installers who have invested in the
training, the equipment and mastered the
most comprehensive installation methods.
