Here we are Railroad Unit Nobles and Ladies, writing the Au-gust 2017 news and it seems like we were just getting start-ed with the Spring clean-up. Oh well, time flies when you are having fun. At our July meeting we had eleven in attendance including Past Potentate Greg Viands and it was good to see Greg after all his health problems. We are glad he is on the rebound. High Priest and Prophet, Mike Kerns spoke to us and thanked us for our help and looks forward to us helping in the future. Our loading ramp is getting the final touches of paint and will look great when finished. The Jaycees Wing Off was well-attended with an estimated 4000 people. Up-coming events for the picnic grounds is the Chamber of Commerce crab feast on August 4th, the Temple Pig Roast on August 12, and we will run the train for that event from 1 to 4 PM. Then on August 13th is the Family Patient Picnic. We are still waiting for a response from the letter that our treasurer Bob Bowers wrote for a waiver for the work they want us to do in our kitchen. We participated in the New Creek’s Fireman’s Parade and we have been notified that there is a parade in Midland coming up on August 11th.
Thanks again,
Wayne D. Robertson Sr.
President

Our meeting was held Monday July 10th at 7:30 PM with our La-
dies at our Club House. Our Ladies were there to help decide where eve-ryone was to work at Gun Bash! Please start being members and come to the meetings; we are discussing what we should do to keep our FREE events for our real members!
Our Famous Roast Beef Dinners, selling for only $9.00. We had a group of (93) of hungry customers. The fellowship was GREAT! And our ladies desserts are better than ever! This year our dinners are: August 28th - September 25th- October 23rd - November 27th. Starting 5pm till 7pm or till we run out! We had some customers arrive after we run out! We are sorry about that, we are getting more meat for this dinner coming up in August! We have very few of our members coming to support our dinners???
Our 222 Party is September 16th tickets are still $25.00 for a cou-ple in the Memorial Room of Shrine Club, starting at 8 pm till 11pm. Come out be our guest! It’s the best deal in town with Open bar, Food, Live Band “Amarillo” to dance to and Cash giveaways! Also we will have a fifty/fifty drawing, Cops and Robbers to sell for added entertainment. Get your tickets now while they last!
