- Oceans Eleven opening
titleshttp://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=wvxiDRtme4U
- These titles show a classic way of introducing a team with a
light hearted side. We see out lines of the characters on colourful
backgrounds with their job in the team. This clip from oceans
eleven the well known crime caper is similar to the type of film we
are trying to create.
3.
- The Thomas Crown affair, stealing the painting.
- This to is a crime caper but the scene I have chosen is what
the group in our film are trying to be. The smooth sophisticated
criminal who is calm under pressure. Working as a team in the
preparation of stealing the painting our team does seem to mimic
this but when the job needs to be done their theft doesnt go
according to plan.
- We have taken ideas from both of the clips to adapt our opening
sequence and also looked into other conventions of the crime caper
film.
4. Locations 5. Locations explained
- The main setting for this film is London, however we have
noticed in crime films such as the Italian job and Entrapment
stunning scenery is used to show the wealth of the team and con. We
would go to Paris, Rome and Monte Carlo to add our own affect to
the caper. We are also filming parts in Millwall this brings it
back to more realist territory and the light heartedness associated
with this type of film.
6. Inspirations
- These capers are all done as a group relating to our own
production and would give the audience an understanding of the
film.
- The pink panther (original series)
7. Our crime caper
- Our crime caper is a original storyline, it will involve an
introduction a major problem followed by the main con which in its
self will encounter problems and lead to a more open frantic twist
for the film. We will leave the ending open in a cliff-hanger to
allow our audience to make their own mind up about the story. We
will include the problem surrounded by a twisting plot and light
hearted humour allowing for an enjoyable viewing for both older and
younger audiences. Our inspirations have helped work out main plot
and to gain some idea of music camera angles and content.
