I chose to do rock as my music genre because I find it interesting to do and I would be able to do a magazine as I have people available to me who can be used for a photo-shoot. This genre is aimed at the age range 16-25 as I find that rock appeals so many ages as it has been around for a long time. The pictures I chose include instruments such as guitar, I found many artists to add to my mood board, new and old. I also included some magazine covers to inspire me on what to do with my own magazine and I also included the accessories such as a black leather jacket. I included an images of concerts as well as you can see how the atmosphere is like. Albums for the artists were also included as I could use those for inspiration for a magazine design. Many artists were included such as AC/DC and Nirvana, so that I can use the names on my magazine. I chose those artists as they are very well known throughout the rock industry.

The front covers each have a prominent primary image that takes over most of the page. The colour scheme of the front cover also changes according to the music artist presented. The image is in front of the title which can suggest that it is a well known music magazine. There are barcodes on the bottom so the are not subscriber articles. The band name is on the front on top of the primary image. The font styles also look different on each of the different artists as the front covers show a distinct style that may suit the artist. The black and white used on led zeppelin shows that this is a classic band and looks more effective in black and white. The main colour scheme for the led zeppelin cover includes white, black and red which is consistent and looks effective. The gold and black on the Metallica issue also appears throughout the whole front cover along with the edited photo to keep it black and white. The muse front cover also has its own colour scheme along with a different font to the others to differentiate each of the front covers. The image is in colour since muse is a lot more modern than Metallica or led zeppelin.
