Morakot  Technology  joins  forces  with  Cambodia  Microfinance  Association  (CMA)  to  better  serve  MFI  members  in  the  area  of  MIS  (Core  Banking  Systems)  

 

   A   Memorandum   of   Understanding   signing   ceremony   for   the   new   partnership  between  Morakot   Technology   and   Cambodia  Microfinance   Association   (CMA)  was  held  on  22  June  2016  at  CMA  office,  Phnom  Penh.    The  purpose  of   this  MOU  is   to  serve  the  needs  of  Cambodia’s  MFIs   in  fulfilling  their  services  to  their  customers  at  large  through  personalized  Banking  Software  called  Morakot  VB  Software.      “The   collaboration   will   better   serve   CMA’s   members   in   her   areas   of   MIS   (Core  Banking   System)   for   each   of   MFI   members.   Morakot   VB   software   is   web-­‐based  system  which  requires  only  central  server  to  be  installed.  The  CMA  report  generation  will   be   automatically   done  by  Morakot   System.   The   system   is   fully   integrated  with  Accounting,  CBC  system  and   full   set  of  NBC  regulation  and   reports”   said  Mr  Khuon  Sophorth,  CEO  and  Co-­‐Founder  at  Morakot  Technology    The   Cambodia   Microfinance   Association   (CMA)   is   an   NGO   and   professional  association  that  aims  to  ensure  the  prosperity  and  sustainability  of  the  Microfinance  sector  in  Cambodia.  It  plays  a  vital  role  in  creating  local  and  international  networks  as  well  as  seeking  equity  and   loan  funds,  new  technologies  and  overseeing  conflict  resolution   between   Microfinance   operators.   By   March   2016,   it   has   70   members  including   58   active   members   and   12   ordinary   members   who   provided   financial  services   to  about  2,366,030  clients  with  amount  of   loan  outstanding  USD  4,345.59  Million   (CMA   NIX,   March   31,   2016).   For   more   information   about   CMA,   visit:  www.cma-­‐network.org
