A letter from our president.I started Moran Yacht & Ship in 1988 after serving as a captain for 15 years onboard some of the finest yachts in the world at the time.

Now, after being in business for over 25 years, having witnessed many changes, economic ups and downs, and seeing many companies and

shipyards come and go during this turbulent time frame, I can tell you what the most critical component of a successful business is. The most

critical component of a successful business, more specifically a business in the yachting industry, is the people that make up that business.

Moran Yacht & Ship has been successful because of the experience, knowledge and character of its employees. Our experience and

knowledge have allowed us to provide counsel and advice to our clients whenever needed, at a higher level and to a greater degree than

our competitors. The honesty, loyalty and integrity exhibited by our professionals is unparalleled, demonstrating to our clients that we are a

company of abundant character.

I was asked several years ago by a leading yachting magazine what drew me to the yachting industry. I believe what I said applies to each

and every Moran Yacht & Ship employee. My response went as follows:

“If there is a more exciting and invigorating business in the world than the yachting business, I have yet to find it. For me it is the greatest

business in the world and one that is full of intelligent, talented people who work for and on behalf of individuals and entrepreneur’s

vessels is a one off, unique piece of art. When you are involved with the initial design stages in the construction of yacht, observe the amazing

talents of the designers of such vessels, attend hundreds of meetings during the building process, and then witness in the flesh the yacht being

launched and delivered, you realize no product in the world can convey such an unmitigated feeling of satisfaction.

Moran Yacht & Ship is a privately held company with no outside investors. I can say to you with great certainty that we are a financially

strong. With offices in Fort Lauderdale, Moscow, Monaco, Newport, RI, and England, we have the staff and personnel that will make sure that

we will be around for another 25 years, and I hope to be writing a similar review at that time.

world. With an experienced new build team of former yacht captains, engineers and project management specialists, Moran Yacht & Ship

have successfully negotiated, managed and completed over $4 billion in new build projects. This incredible statistic is unmatched by any

Before the keel is even laid, our team compiles an all-encompassing marine specification. We then negotiate a comprehensive building

contract that protects our clients from delays and additional costs. In addition, we assemble an experienced build team that includes

only the best naval architects, interior and exterior designers, and project managers. Unlike many of our competitors, who disappear as

soon as the build contract is signed, our accomplished team will remain in place through final delivery to ensure a smooth construction

process. As a further courtesy to our clients, we remain with the yacht in a management capacity to take care of any warranty items

and ensure hassle-free day-to-day operations.

We recently met a client who had already signed a letter of intent with a shipyard and paid a substantial deposit. He then realized the

yacht brokerage firm that was representing him – a so-called “top” London based company – had misled him and did not have the

experience to successfully complete the construction of his vessel. This client fired the London based company and forfeited his deposit.

After hiring Moran Yacht & Ship, he built a 78m yacht in Germany. Moran Yacht & Ship oversaw the complete project. His vessel was

subsequently delivered on time, within budget and is still to this day one of the most magnificent yachts ever built.

Built and grown over the course of centuries, Palermo is known for its rich history, diverse culture and

traditions. Endless Norman buildings, magnificent palaces and lively local markets adorn the city. Should you

be interested in a gastronomic adventure, Palermo is most definitely a city that can accommodate.

DAY 2 PALERMOKnown as the “people’s beach” of Palermo, Mondello Beach is located just miles outside the center of the

city. It is famous for elegant Livery-style villas, tree-lined streets, white sand beaches and crystal clear water.

It is perfect for seafood lovers and windsurfing enthusiasts.

DAY 3 LIPARI TO PANAREAAnchor off Lipari in order to visit Vulcano Island and bathe in the pools of warm waters emerging from its

submarine springs. Later in the day, cruise over to Panarea and anchor offshore. From there a helicopter

trip can be arranged to fly over Europe’s second largest active volcano, Serra Vancori. A recommended and

well-known restaurant ashore in Panarea is Restaurant Broccia, located at the Hotel Quartara.

DAY 4 AMALFICruise overnight to Amalfi on the southern side of the Sorrentine Peninsula. This exquisite city is the focal

point of the aptly named “Amalfi Coast.” The coast is lined with dramatic cliffs, small bays and coastal

mountains. The scenery is stunning and the local food is fantastic. Visiting Saint Andrew’s Cathedral will give

you a great sense of Byzantine style combined with Northern architecture.

DAY 5 POSITANOCruise further west along the Amalfi Coast to reach yet another jewel of the Mediterranean, Positano. This

town seems to stretch from the beach, up the mountains and into the clouds. Positano is a great place to

relax and go for a swim while you let go of reality. As John Steinbeck famously quoted, “Positano bites deep.

It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have

gone.” Dinner can be enjoyed ashore at one of the many fantastic local restaurants.
