Next Wednesday 21st after school we will be

piecing together a mural of females that

inspire us, to mark International Women’s

Day last week. We are encouraging students

to bring along a photo or picture of a female

that inspires them to add to the wall. It could

be a family member, a teacher, an athlete, an

artist, a doctor, a friend... anyone they

choose! We will be putting it together in the

assembly area at the bottom of the stairwell.

There will also be pencils and paper if

student prefer to do a drawing to add. So

please encourage your child to drop by

before going home to add to this beautiful art

piece. Parents and Friends Club Last night we had the inaugural meeting of our Parents and Friends Club with 32 financial members. Alex Hoskins was elected as President with Mel Ross as Vice President, Rebecca Ostberg as Secretary and Alice Crowley as Treasurer. The constitution which has been ratified by the Minister for Education was referred to to familiarize members with their role and the date of the next meeting was set as April 21st. More details about the next meeting will follow. The Parents and Friends Club will operate as a sub-committee of School Council with the council having a co-opted member on the council to ensure the monthly reports are presented and

represented.

Garden Beds When you come to school next Monday you will see a change to our gardens in the courtyard. Our School Council Buildings and Grounds sub-committee has been working hard to plan the new courtyard and the next stage starts tomorrow. Demolition works and movement of several heavy stones and pipes will be completed and the garden beds will be redeveloped the following weekend. Works will also be completed in the Playgroup outdoor area.

Late arrivals Parents are reminded of the importance of children being at school prior to the bell at 9am. If children are late, parents MUST come into the office to sign them in as late. If children are arriving late without a parent we cannot be sure when they left home and what they have been doing on the way to school
