Many athletes had excellent performances, demonstrating fantastic dedication, and great sportsmanship. For the month of November, 4 students were nominated for Athlete of the Month: congratulations to Divya Nair (Grade 10), Oliver Chen (Grade 10), Natasha Lai (Grade 10), and Simon Sheehan (Grade 12) for their nominations. There is also an Honorable nomination for the athletes on the Sr Girls Volleyball team for their performance, dedication and sportsmanship. Congratulations to Simon Sheehan for being awarded as the Athlete of the Month for November!! Simon was a member of both the Sr Boys Volleyball and Cross Country teams this fall, and participated in Provincial Championships for both sports. Simon stepped up at the Sr Boys Volleyball Provincials and really helped the team's success in the back court, taking over the libero position. He had unbelievable digs against some of the province's top hitters while maintaining a positive attitude (for the entire season). He would always carry a smile on and off the court. He helped others maintain focus, and he helped the team get past adversity in the Provincial Championships. Simon now needs to see Mr. Spracklin in the PE Office to claim his t-shirt, Sport Chek gift card, and have his photo taken for the awards cabinet in the foyer. Congratulations to Lovely Ranges for making Semi-Finalist status for Loran Scholarship!! A job well done! Ms. C. Wong GENERAL
