API 6A GATE VALVE LUBRICATION
API 6A gate valve are designed for oil & gas christmas tree, wellhead, manifold, distribution, fracture or other critical service application with operating pressure 2000 to 20,000 psi and temperature ranging from -70⁰ F to 650⁰ F.
Mainly expanding & slab style type gate valves are used in sour & sub-sea application. For reliable, low torque, smooth operation of Gate valve high quality valve lubricant selection is one of most important thing.
Selection of poor lubricant can cause poor sealing, corrosion, wear, high torque for valve operation & frequent valve component change in long term.

MOSIL VALVE LUBRICANTS
MOSIL Valve Lubricants are made of inorganic thickener & next generation synthetic base polymer base oil which is fortified with solid lubricants & proprietary corrosion inhibitors. It is especially suitable for preventing corrosion due to hydrogen sulfide.
It is ideally suitable for extreme low &high temperature applications involving sliding and rotating motion. These Specially formulated valve lubricants provide excellent sealing capability (metal-metal sealing) between gates & seats, lowers torque for smooth valve operation, dependable performance event at very low & high temperature due to its high thermal ,oxidative stability & chemical inertness.

Specially formulated MOSIL value lubricants are resistant to organic caustic solutions, inhibited for use in H S and CO . Hence it provides excellent corrosion resistance from 2 2
extremely corrosive passing fluids and prevents scoring and galling of valve gate.
Excellent high & low temperature performance with superb adhesion, structure stability & resistant to passing fluids contamination. It doesn't harden or dry out overtime even at low temperature (As low as -60⁰C).
It protects the precision gate from scoring & galling which significantly reduce torque requirement for normal application. even at very low temperature as low as -60⁰C .Prevents possibility of leakage of around 25% which occurs due to not tightened properly. It does not contain any bentonite clays or soaps, which can interfer with normal valve operation.
Engineered to deliver maximum well integrity by providing Enhanced Gate & seats metal to metal seal capability. Its excellent fluid repellency & extreme low solubility properties provides no leaks paths & no passing fluids hence maintains well integrity.
Due to very low solubility with passing fluid, H S resistant formulation & superb adhesion in 2
metal cavity, chemical inertness gives long life to remain in the valve cavity & protect gate & seat metal surfaces wear, scoring or galling. Hence only top up of valve lubricant is needed & saves replacement of valve component in long run.
It is compatible with all convertible plastics & rubbers.
