Moss Hall Infant School 1st-5th June
Message from Amy
Hello everybody in Year 2! I hope that everyone is doing well.I hope you are continuing to enjoy the home learning that is made for you each week. Us teachers have really enjoyed seeing all the wonderful you have produced on Padlet. Keep it coming! I also hope you have been enjoying our videos online. I can’t believe Mrs. Elphick’s videos! We had a meeting over the phone and I was amazed to see she has created a green screen in her home so she can add cool backgrounds. She’s like a producer! I have some photos for you all to see what I have been up to since my last message. Enjoy
Here is Padge with a tiger from Google 3D!
It was my nephews 4th birthday in April. We had a birthday Zoom call with family and friends. We sang happy birthday and watched him blow out his candles. He was very specific about having a chocolate cake covered in sprinkles! He even delivered a slice to my doorstep. Yum!
On my local walks I have seen these vibrant rainbows made by children. I haven’t seen any on bins yet! I think some rainbows on top of our rubbish bins to say thank you to our binmen for collecting our waste each week would be lovely.
I have helped out in school looking after the children of Key Workers. This is a lovely picture a Year 1 child made for me. He made an origami fish and boat!

Add three one digit numbers together
Watch the video to recap on adding three one digit numbers together.
Activity Write out numbers 0-9 on a piece of paper or card. Cut them up. Turn them over so you cant see the numbers. Shuffle them up and then turn 3 cards over. Write the numbers in a number sentence eg. 6+4+9=
Find the total and write your answer. Remember to look for the number bonds to 10. If this is tricky you can draw circles to represent the numbers and count them up. If it is easy calculate the answer in your head as quickly as you can but remember to double check you are correct.
Repeat the game until you have 8 different number sentences.
