MOT Charter School Athletic Participation & Eligibility Agreement

Once the team rosters have been established, there be a $50 participating fee (per sport).

Necessary items need before participation:

Academic Eligibility. Athletes are students firstand we must ensure that students have maximum opportunity to succeed in school. Therefore, students must maintain passing grade averages in all core classes and must not have lower than an 80% in more than 2 core classes. If a student fails to maintain these minimum benchmarks, he/she shall be suspended from the team until he/she obtains the minimum grade averages.

Conduct Eligibility. If a student receives a singledemerit, the student shall be suspended fromparticipating in the next contest. If a student receivesmore than 3 demerits (at once or cumulative), thestudent shall be suspended from the team for theseason. Any student who has been suspended fromschool in the current academic year is ineligible toparticipate on any competitive team. Unless anexception has been granted by the Administration, astudent must be in attendance for at least ½ of theschool day to be eligible to participate in practice or agame that day.

Players are responsible for:◦ Shin guards◦ Socks (color TBD by team)◦ Mouth guard (all players)◦ Eye Protection◦ Stick(s)◦ Cleats

School will provide:◦ Goalie Gear◦ 2 Jerseys◦ 1 skirt

* Uniforms are to be returned after the season

Undershirts, such Under Armour or short sleeves, must be the same color as the primary color of the jersey. Home jerseys are white and away jerseys are red.

Head and wrist bands are to be of school colors (Red, Yellow, or White).

Due to a possible high number of interests for a given sports, all 6th graders and first year 7th and 8th graders are not guaranteed a place on the roster each year. Tryouts may be applied where needed.
