WHAT IS ‘‘MOTIVATION’’?Motivation is the attitude towards the

accomplishment of a task. It involves a combination of effort, wishes to

learn and a positive attitude. Because of that, attitude and motivation are directly related.

We can distinguish

between two types of

motivation

External Motivation

Internal Motivation

Children are more motivated to learn English and retain

knowledge when presented with music, games and total

physical response activities.

We must try to maintain a fun and happy learning

environment.

Activities should be varied and motivating.
