What is NASP The National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) is a joint

venture between state Departments of Education and Wildlife. Several archery equipment manufacturers and organizations are also partners. The program promotes student education and participation in the life long sport of Archery. The program's focus is to provide International style target archery training in physical education classes, for grades 4-12. 

Department of Natural Resources Objective: Declining participation in the shooting sports threatens financial and public support for wildlife conservation. Since its inception in 2002, more than 4 million students in over 5,000 schools located in 49 states and 5 countries have participated in the NASP. We expect many of these young people to make Archery a life sport.

Department of Education Objective: Engage more students in the educational process to improve classroom performance and reduce dropout rates. The national school dropout rate is 10%. Most students (88%) who drop out of school indicate they were not involved in extra-curricular activities. Archery taught by the NASP is accessible to all students of nearly all age groups. Educators are reporting that the NASP "engages the unengaged" and inspires students to greater achievement in school.

year you will receive a refund of $10, which will be paid after practices start and your archer shows us the string bow.

NASP Rules for 2014 4-5th Grade archers from different school buildings within the same school

district may shoot on the same team. Competitive divisions:

Elementary 4-5th, Middle school 6-8th, High school 9-12th Co-ed team score 12-24 archers, minimum 4 of the opposite gender Once a student has participated on a team (school/division) in the state

tournament, the student’s school and division are fixed and must remain unchanged for the National tournament. This rule does not apply to archers who competed as individuals only (not part of a team) in their state tournament.

There is no minimum number of students from the state tournament roster required for the National roster.

Substitutes for the National roster may be students that did not participate in the state tournament but they must be from the same school and in the same division or must meet the requirements for shooting up.

For registration at the national tournament, the following tiers have been established:2.7.1.1.Tier 1: 1st place teams from each state/division & 1st-10th place individuals2.7.1.2.Tier 2: Team scores of ES >2,999, MS >3,199, & HS >3,2992.7.1.3.Tier 3: Team scores of ES >2,849, MS >3,099, & HS >3,1992.7.1.4.Tier 4: Team scores of ES >2,699, MS >2,999, & HS >3,0992.7.1.5.Tier 5: Team Score of ES >2,599, MS >2,899, & HS >2,999

MV Club SHOOT Guidelines/Rules Most league shoots are on Saturdays during

January/February Head coach assumes you are going to attend shoot unless
