Christine D. Easterling

President - DCREA

• I was “called to make a difference” and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as your

president from July 2010 to May 2012.

• My commitment to the District of Columbia Retired Educators Association is to work

extremely hard each and every day to present programs that focus on retirement, housing,

health issues, economics, education, financial planning, estate planning, the environment,

taxes, and health care. I will continue to protect retired educator’s benefits, support our

adopted school, Raymond Elementary, demand better oversight of COLAs, and serve the

scholarship needs of youth.

• In August 2010, I introduced a two-year action plan to explore new beginnings and

transformations with a diversified membership.
