Harmony Day
Harmony Day 2014 was another great example of the Pine Creek Community Spirit! With a fantastic mix of people and everybody’s favorite dishes the night was a big success with a great crowd of people all enjoying each others company. Our Pine Creek Community provides the perfect mix of acceptance and togetherness which defines the true meaning of Harmony Day . “THE MORE THE MERRIER”
Joan and Andy
When fish are in schools, they sometimes take debate. A thief who stole a calendar got twelve months. When the smog lifts in Los Angeles U.C.L.A.
The batteries were given out free of charge. A dentist and a manicurist married. They fought tooth and nail. A will is a dead giveaway. With her marriage, she got a new name and a dress. A boiled egg is hard to beat. When you've seen one shopping Centre, you've seen a mall. Police were called to a day care Centre where a three-year-old was resisting a rest. Did you hear about the fellow whose whole left side was cut off? He's all right now. A bicycle can't stand alone; it is two tired. When a clock is hungry it goes back four seconds. The guy who fell onto an upholstery machine is now fully recovered. He had a photographic memory which was never developed. When she saw her first strands of grey hair she thought she'd dye.
Acupuncture is a jab well done. That's the point of it.
And the cream of the wretched crop:
Those who get too big for their pants will be exposed in the end.
“Lexophile” is a word used to describe those that love using words in rather unique ways

FERGS NEWS As we transition from our Wet into our Dry season our unit will soon commence our Hazard Reduction burning off. I anticipate a bigger fire season after our ‘normal’ Wet which has seen an increase in fuel loads. I urge residents and property owners to be extra vigilant and to ensure that their property has been maintained and firebreaks have been installed. Anyone wishing to conduct a Burn Off on their land will now require a permit to burn. Permits can be issued by contacting me on 0409331430. Failure to obtain a permit may result in legal action against the offender. Permits are not require for BBQ’s, backyard incinerators etc. Our members have been training in Road Crash Rescue in 2014 and we have recently spent time training with the Katherine Fire Training staff who have been invaluable in training our unit. All our training will culminate in a major training scenario which will take place in June. Once again I must thank the ERT team members from Territory Resources who are an integral part of our unit and provide us with a wealth of knowledge and personnel. Anyone wishing to be involved with the FERG’s can contact me on 0409331430 or attend training on Thursdays at 5pm. Bunny Fountain Captain Pine Creek FERG’s 0409331430

THUMBS UP
An elderly couple travelling & towing a loaded trailer blew a tyre near Elliot. My son Peter and grandson were first on the scene. Their first reaction with a car upside down, was to get them out quick. Unable to open the door, Michael soon broke the windows and rescued them.. Luck was on their side and they were not injured except for a few scratches. Rosemary.
