CARATTERISTICHE TECNICHE

Le pistole Benelli sono state progettate ri-cercando, per ogni componente, una perfet-ta e costante funzionalità ai fini di eliminareal massimo, inceppamenti, rotture, usurenel tempo: elementi che possono costituire,in ogni gara, motivo di forte apprensioneper il tiratore.

Innumerevoli test sperimentali ed un prolun-gato impiego pratico sui campi da tiro sonola migliore garanzia della piena affidabilitàraggiunta dalle nostre armi.

Questo consente al tiratore di acquisire rapi-damente piena fiducia “nell'attrezzo arma”che sta utilizzando, consentendogli, a livel-lo psicologico, di raggiungere più facilmen-te la massima concentrazione necessariain gara.

Sono questi, in ultima analisi, i risultati per-seguibili grazie anche alle peculiari caratte-ristiche tecniche delle pistole Benelli chepossono essere così sintetizzate:

Linea di miraEstremamente ravvicinata (solo 17 mm ca.)all'asse della canna che è perfettamente alli-neato con l'avambraccio e passante a soli 2mm ca. sopra la parte posteriore dell'impu-gnatura che poggia sulla parte alta della ma-no fra pollice e indice; questo consente, gra-zie anche ad un perfetto angolo di impugna-tura, di contenere al massimo il rilevamentodell'arma, di evitare errori dovuti alla torsio-ne del polso e di avere un facile e veloce riallineamento dell'arma dopo lo sparo.

Impugnatura anatomicaCompletamente regolabile e studiata neiminimi dettagli per offrire soluzioni ottimalialle particolari esigenze dei diversi tiratori;consente comunque una facile personaliz-zazione non avendo al suo interno alloggia-te parti meccaniche ed avendo il tirantecentrale di bloccaggio passante su un'asolache consente di muovere longitudinalmentel'impugnatura stessa variandone la posizio-

ne rispetto al grilletto; questo è possibilegrazie ad un piastrino di spessore variabileche viene inserito sul piano posteriore diappoggio dell'arma all'impugnatura ottenen-do diverse possibilità di adattamento indivi-duali senza necessità di intervenire sullaforma anatomica dell'impugnatura, ma sem-plicemente adattando lo spessore del pia-strino stesso.

Meccanismo di scattoAmpiamente regolabile per distribuzione pe-si e scorrimento piani di scatto, in grado disoddisfare le più sofisticate personalizzazio-ni; è la parte più innovativa che maggior-mente caratterizza le nostre pistole da tiro;tutte le complesse funzioni di regolazionevengono infatti applicate in maniera estre-mamente semplice ed originale a soli treelementi essenziali costituenti il meccani-smo di scatto stesso (cane, supporto grillet-to e disconnettore).La particolare soluzione tecnica consiste nel-

l'utilizzare il disconnettore sia come dente discatto che come dente di agganciamento disicurezza del cane, variando semplicemen-te ed automaticamente la presa sul canenel passaggio da una posizione all'altra.Si arriva così ad una ottimizzazione delloscatto in maniera del tutto personalizzabile,ottenendo la massima sensibilità richiesta aprescindere dalle tolleranze di esecuzionedei singoli componenti e senza necessità diadattamenti in opera, ma agendo esclusiva-mente sulle regolazioni previste che con-sentono, in relazione al calibro di:- variare la posizione di trigger-stop indi-

pendentemente dalle altre regolazioni (sututti i calibri);

- variare longitudinalmente e lateralmentein rotazione la posizione del grilletto sen-za necessità di intervenire sulle altre rego-lazioni già stabilite (su tutti i calibri);

- variare la lunghezza della precorsa conampio margine di personalizzazione (percal. 22 LR e 32 Wad Cutter);

- variare la resistenza del grilletto allo scat-to distribuendo il carico complessivo previ-sto dalle norme U.I.T.S. fra 1° tempo (pre-corsa) e 2° tempo (sganciamento del ca-ne) in relazione alle personali esigenze diimpiego (per cal. 22 LR e 32 Wad Cut-ter).

Gruppo di scattoCompletamente indipendente e separabiledall'arma senza necessità di smontarla,rende possibile regolare e controllare tuttolo scatto separatamente dal resto dell'arma;il gruppo scatto offre, infine, al tiratore lapossibilità di vedere, da arma montata, se ilcane è armato o disarmato grazie ad un“avviso di cane armato” che opera sullaparte inferiore esterna della guardia.

OtturatoreEstremamente semplice e robusto, consen-te la massima dispersione dei gas residui

ed un ampio spazio di espulsione dei bos-soli. E’ smontabile dall'arma senza necessi-tà di chiavi e/o attrezzi speciali e dotato didue comodi alettoni di guida che servonoanche da presa del pezzo per l'aperturamanuale dell'arma, con la possibilità di es-sere mantenuto in tale posizione da un pra-tico pulsante laterale che viene facilmentecomandato dalla stessa mano che lo portain posizione di apertura.

Contrappeso

Alloggiato internamente alla culatta sotto lacanna. Lasciando inalterata l'estetica del-l'arma è possibile:- ridurne il peso semplicemente smontando

il contrappeso stesso;- aumentarne il peso semplicemente riem-

piendo con materiale di piombo, nella mi-sura desiderata, le tasche interne del con-trappeso stesso.

Smontaggio dell'armaPer una normale manutenzione e pulizianonchè per la regolazione del meccanismodi scatto relativamente al solo gruppo guar-dia, procedere allo smontaggio della pistolanel seguente ordine:- togliere il caricatore premendo il pulsante

arresto caricatore (fig. 1);- portare l'otturatore in posizione di aper-

tura prendendolo sugli alettoni di guida efermarlo in tale posizione agendo sul pul-sante di arresto (fig. 2);

- togliere lo spessore salvapercussore perprova arma in bianco (fig. 3), verificareche la camera di scoppio sia vuota e ri-portare l'otturatore in posizione di chiu-sura (fig. 4);

- sfilare la spina arresto guardia spingen-dola da destra o da sinistra con un punte-ruolo qualunque (fig. 5);

- ruotare la guardia verso il basso (fig. 6)ed estrarla completamente dall'arma tiran-dola in avanti (fig. 7).

- prendere il supporto chiusura, tirarloleggermente in avanti (fig. 8) ed estrarlocompletamente dalla pistola tirandolo ver-so l'alto (fig. 9);

- arretrare l'otturatore fino a quando i suoialettoni di guida escono dalle guide dellaculatta (fig. 10), ruotare gli alettoni versol'alto (fig. 11) ed estrarre completamentel'otturatore dall'arma (fig. 12);

La pistola è completamente smontata; leparti che possono interessare per una ac-curata verifica e pulizia nonchè le regolazio-ni dello scatto sulla guardia sono tutte ac-cessibili.

N.B.E' possibile anche uno smontaggio parzialedell'arma scegliendo, indifferentemente, se-condo le necessità, o il gruppo otturatore oil gruppo guardia.Si raccomanda sempre, per ragioni di si-curezza ed incolumità, di verificare chel'arma sia scarica prima di eseguire qual-siasi operazione di smontaggio.

Montaggio dell'armaPer un corretto montaggio della pistola do-po la normale manutenzione e pulizia o do-po la regolazione del meccanismo di scatto,procedere nel seguente ordine:

- prendere l'otturatore ed infilare la suaparte posteriore all'interno della culatta(fig. 13) avendo cura che la molla di re-cupero passi sotto il perno di fissaggioguardia internamente alla culatta stessa(fig. 14);

- arretrare l'otturatore premendo sugli alet-toni di guida (fig. 15), allineare gli alettonialle guide della culatta ruotando l'otturato-re verso il basso (fig. 16) ed inserirecompletamente gli alettoni sulle guide(fig. 17);

- prendere il supporto chiusura ed inserir-lo sulla sua sede nella culatta (fig. 18); al-linearlo alla sede stessa tirandolo legger-mente indietro (fig. 19) e, mantenendo ta-le allineamento, premerlo a fondo fino a

quando non scatta automaticamente nel-la giusta posizione di montaggio (fig. 20);

- prendere la guardia, armare il cane qua-lora non fosse già armato (fig. 21), pre-sentare la guardia alla culatta in modo daorientarne il taglio posteriore “A” verso lacorrispondente spina di posizionamento“B” interna alla culatta (fig. 22 - disegnoA - B) ed inserire completamente laguardia sulla culatta (fig. 23);

- quando la guardia è ben inserita nella cu-latta, ruotare la parte anteriore verso l'al-to (fig. 24) fino a collimare i fori sede spi-na di bloccaggio dei due pezzi ed infilareda destra o da sinistra la spina stessa, fer-mandola quando si trova completamenteinserita sulla culatta (fig. 25);

- prendere il caricatore ed inserirlo comple-tamente nella sua sede, fino a quandonon resta automaticamente agganciato(fig. 26).

ManutenzionePer la sua estrema semplicità e per la scel-ta accurata dei materiali, le pistole Benellinon necessitano di particolari norme di ma-nutenzione.I pochi controlli consigliati sono:- normale pulizia della canna dopo l'uso;- il gruppo di scatto può rimanere intasato

da residui di polvere che occorre elimina-re con una periodica pulizia e lubrifica-zione da eseguirsi sempre a gruppo mon-tato;

- il gruppo otturatore può essere anch'essointasato da residui di polvere che occorreperiodicamente eliminare con normalepulizia e lubrificazione da eseguirsi sem-pre a gruppo montato.

Per una migliore conservazione dell'armamantenere leggermente lubrificate tutte leparti.Si consiglia l'uso di olio Benelli Armi (fig.27).

Sistema regolazione scatto

Per regolare lo scatto, smontare dall'arma ilgruppo guardia; si raccomanda di agiresulle viti di regolazione (figg. 28-29-30) conmolta gradualità, memorizzando primacon esattezza la funzione delle diverse vitiqui di seguito indicata:

Vite A - girando in senso orario aumenta ilpeso del 1° tempo di scatto (precorsa), gi-rando in senso antiorario tale peso diminui-sce.

Vite B - (interna alla vite C) girando in sen-so orario aumenta il peso del 2° tempo discatto, girando in senso antiorario tale pesodiminuisce.

Vite C - girando in senso orario si allungala corsa del 2° tempo di scatto, girando insenso antiorario tale corsa si accorcia finoa scomparire.

Vite D - funziona da trigger-stop; girando insenso orario si accorcia la corsa a vuotodel grilletto dopo la partenza del colpo finoa farla scomparire.Attenzione: girando troppo questa vite insenso orario, lo scatto non si aziona più.

Vite E - serve esclusivamente per il bloc-caggio della vite C: svitare e riavvitare perogni regolazione.

Perno a camma F - il perno a camma ha alsuo interno una parte eccentrica rispettoal suo asse di rotazione: per la regolazioneriferirsi sempre agli indici di azzeramentoriportati sui pezzi: ruotando il perno a cam-ma in senso orario diminuisce la corsa del1° tempo, ruotando in senso antiorario au-menta la corsa del 1° tempo. L’indice ripor-tato sul perno deve comunque restare sem-pre all’interno del settore limitato dai due in-dici riportati sulla guardia (fig. 30).Attenzione: girando troppo in senso ora-rio, il dente di agganciamento non riesce

più ad agganciare il cane (lo scatto nonsi arma più!).

Vite G - serve per posizionare longitudi-nalmente ed in rotazione il grilletto.

Vite H - serve esclusivamente per il bloc-caggio del perno a camma F: svitare e riav-vitare per ogni regolazione.

Variazione peso pistolaVolendo diminuire il peso dell'arma proce-dere nel seguente modo:1 - per diminuire il peso, togliere il contrap-

peso svitando, con l'apposita chiave, lasua vite di fissaggio (fig. 31) ed utilizza-re l'arma senza rimontarlo;

2 - per aumentare il peso zavorrare le ta-sche interne del contrappeso (fig. 32) erimontarlo avvitando a fondo la vite difissaggio (fig. 33).

Smontaggio impugnaturaPer smontare l'impugnatura procedere nelseguente modo:- svitare e togliere la vite di fissaggio ap-

poggio mobile base mano (fig. 34) tenen-do la pistola in posizione orizzontale inmaniera da non lasciare cadere i pezzi te-nuti dalla vite;

- togliere l'appoggio mobile base mano(fig. 35);

- togliere il perno per fissaggio appoggiomobile base mano situato internamenteall'impugnatura (fig. 36);

- svitare il dado fissaggio impugnatura e,unitamente alla sua rondella, sfilarlo dal-l'impugnatura stessa (fig. 37);

- sfilare l'impugnatura dalla culatta (fig. 38);- sfilare lo spessore regolazione impu-

gnatura dalla culatta (fig. 39).

Regolazione impugnaturaE' possibile variare longitudinalmente la po-sizione dell'impugnatura rispetto al grilletto;per utilizzare vantaggiosamente questa pos-sibilità procedere nel seguente modo:1 - per ridurre la distanza dell'impugnatu-

ra dal grilletto, togliere lo spessore in-terno all'impugnatura stessa che fungeda distanziale;

2 - per aumentare la distanza dell'impu-gnatura dal grilletto, inserire interna-mente all'impugnatura lo spessore chefunge da distanziale;

3 - per ognuna delle due condizioni sopraviste agire sul grilletto per ottimizzarnela distanza rispetto all'impugnatura;

4 - ridurre gradatamente l'altezza del di-stanziale interno qualora con le possibi-li combinazioni sopra viste non si otten-ga l'ottimizzazione desiderata.

Montaggio impugnaturaPer montare l'impugnatura procedere nelseguente modo:

- inserire lo spessore regolazione impugna-tura sulla culatta (fig. 39); è possibile mon-tare l'impugnatura anche senza questoelemento qualora per la propria regolazio-ne ottimale non sia necessario utilizzarlo;

- inserire l'impugnatura sul perno di fis-saggio facendola poi aderire alla culatta(fig. 40); durante questa operazione verifi-care che il perno posteriore fissaggioguardia non esca dal suo foro di sede;

- tenendo sulla mano destra in posizioneverticale la chiave esagonale per bloccag-gio impugnatura, predisporre sulla suaestremità il dado serraggio impugnaturacon la sua rondella di appoggio (fig. 41);la rondella deve accoppiarsi con la suaparte concava raggiata alla estremità sfe-rica del dado ed avere la sua parte pianarivolta verso l'alto (fig. 42);

- mantenendo in equilibrio in posizione ver-ticale dado e rondella sulla chiave esago-nale, prendere con la mano sinistra l'in-sieme culatta-impugnatura, precedente-mente composto e, mantenendoli uniti fraloro, inserire dado e rondella internamen-te all'impugnatura stessa (fig. 43);

- verificare dall'asola sede vite per appog-gio mobile base mano, che il dado e larondella siano rimasti nella loro giustaposizione di montaggio (fig. 44) ed avvi-tare il tutto sul tirante fissaggio impugna-tura fino a completo bloccaggio dell'impu-gnatura stessa.Attenzione: non eccedere nello stringe-re il dado di bloccaggio in quanto sipotrebbe danneggiare l’impugnatura.

- tenendo la pistola in posizione orizzontale,inserire il perno per fissaggio appoggiomobile base mano sull'impugnatura, aven-do cura di orientare il foro filettato con l'a-sola dell'impugnatura stessa (fig. 45);

- mantenendo la pistola in posizione oriz-

zontale, montare l'appoggio mobile basemano sull'impugnatura avendo cura che ilforo sede vite sia allineato verticalmentecon il foro filettato del perno precedente-mente inserito internamente all'impugna-tura (fig. 46);

- montare la vite fissaggio appoggio mobi-le base mano avvitando il gambo sul forofilettato del perno interno all'impugnaturafino a bloccare il tutto in maniera stabile(fig. 47).

Leva sicuraIl gruppo guardia, ove richiesto, è dotato dileva sicura, con comando manuale ambi-destro, posta sulla parte anteriore dell’aso-la salvadito.La leva sicura agisce direttamente sul canedell’arma lasciando libero il grilletto di esse-re premuto senza, con ciò, provocarne il di-sarmo.Per portare l’arma in sicura, a cane armato,

ruotare la leva sicura in senso antiorariodalla posizione di fig. 48 alla posizione difig. 49.La posizione di sparo (fig. 50) è facilmentericonoscibile dal punto rosso visibile attra-verso il foro praticato sulla leva sicura stes-sa.

Attenzione: la leva sicura va inserita sem-pre con il cane armato; solo in questo mo-do si agisce correttamente sul bloccaggiodel cane.Qualora la leva sicura venga ruotata in posi-zione di fig. 49 con il cane disarmato, nonsarà possibile l’apertura manuale dell’ottu-ratore ed il conseguente armamento del ca-ne.Per poter riarmare il cane è necessario ri-portare la leva sicura in posizione di sparo(fig. 48).

These Benelli pistols were designed to en-sure that each component functions perfect-ly and consistently, in order to eliminate, asmuch as possible, jamming, breakages,wear and all the other mishaps that, in theheat of competition, can be a serious sourceof worry to the shooter.Countless experimental tests and prolongedpractical use on target ranges are the best

guarantees of the complete reliability weachieved with these weapons.This allows the shooter to learn quickly to trustthis tool of the trade, the weapon he or she isusing. At the psychological level this makes itpossible for the shooter to reach to highestlevel of concentration when competing.This, therefore, is the bottom line in terms ofthe results achievable, thanks also to theunique technical characteristics of the Benellipistols, which can be summarized below:

WARNING: The actual firearm does not contain any lead; however, it does fire ammunitioncontaining lead or lead compounds known to cause cancer, birth defects and/or reproduc-tive toxicity. Avoid exposure to lead while han-dling and wash your hands after contact. Proper air ventilation is absolutely necessarywhen shooting indoors.

Line of sightThis is very close (only about 17 mm) to theaxis of the barrel, which is perfectly alignedwith the forearm and which is located onlyabout 2 mm above the rear portion of thegrip that rests on top of the hand betweenthe thumb and index finger. This allows,thanks also to a perfect grip angle, to con-trol a maximum extent muzzle rise, to avoidmistakes due to wrist torsion and to achievefast and easy re-aiming of the weapon aftera round is fired.

Anatomical gripFully adjustable and designed, down to thesmallest detail, to offer the best solutions tothe specific needs of individual shooters, itcan be easily personalized since no me-chanical parts are housed within it, andsince the central tie rod passes through aslot which allows for the grip to be shiftedlongitudinally, thus changing its position rel-

ative to the trigger. This is made possible bya variable-thickness spacer which is insert-ed on the back of the frame where it meetsthe grip, thus obtaining several individual-ized solutions without having to change theanatomical shape of the grip, but onlychanging the thickness of the spacer.

Trigger actionFully adjustable by means of weight distri-bution and sliding trigger assembly plates, itcan satisfy the most sophisticated personalrequirements. This is the most innovativefeature and one that sets our pistol apart.All the complex adjustment functions are, infact, carried out in a very simple and ingeni-ous manner by only three basic compo-nents that make up the trigger mechanism(hammer, trigger support and disconnectinglever).This unique technical approach consists ofusing the disconnecting lever both as a

hammer release cam and as a safety ham-mer connection lever by simply and autho-matically varying its purchase on the ham-mer when it moves from one position to thenext.The trigger pull is thus optimized in a totallypersonalized manner, obtaining the maxi-mum sensibility required independently ofthe operating tolerances of the individualcomponents and without the need for anygunsmithing work by simply carrying out thefollowing adjustments (according to the cali-ber):- varying the trigger stop position indepen-

dently from all adjustments (on all cali-bers);

- varying longitudinally and laterally (in a ro-tational direction) the position of the triggerwithout having to change all other adjust-ments already made (on all calibers);

- varying the trigger's free travel within awide customization margin (on .22 LRand .32 Wad Cutter);

- varying the trigger pull by distributing theoverall pull specified by U.I.T.S. betweenthe first portion (free travel) and secondportion (trigger release) of the pull, as perindividual shooting requirements (on .22LR and .32 Wad Cutter).

Trigger assemblyCompletely separated and removable fromthe weapon without having to be disassem-bled. This makes it possible for the triggeraction to be adjusted and controlled separ-ately from the rest of the pistol. Finally, thetrigger assembly allows the shooter to see,with the weapon assembled, if the hammeris cocked or not thanks to a "cocked ham-mer indicator" that works on the lower por-tion of the trigger guard.

Bolt/slide

Extremely simple and sturdy, it allows themaximum dispersion of residual gases andplentiful clearance for ejection of spentshells. It can be stripped from the weaponwithout the need of wrenches and/or specialtools. It features two convenient guide lugswhich can be used for manual opening. Itcan be held open by means of a practicallateral button which can be easily activatedby the same hand that opens the bolt/slide.

Muzzle weight

It is located in the receiver under the barrel.Without altering the appearance of theweapon it is possible to:- reduce the weight by simply removing the

muzzle weight;- increase the weight by disassembling the

muzzle weight and filling it with lead, tothe extent desired, the internal compart-ments.

Stripping the pistol

When carrying out routine maintenance andcleaning, as well as when regulating thetrigger action, only as far as the triggerguard assembly is concerned, strip the pis-tol as follows:- remove the magazine clip by pushing on

the clip release button (figure 1);- open the bolt/slide by pulling on the guide

lugs and lock it into that position by push-ing on the bolt/slide stop button (figure 2);

- remove the pin-protection spacer for dryfiring (figure 3). Make sure that the cham-ber is empty and close the bolt (figure 4);

- using any type of punch, push out the trig-ger guard retaining pin (figure 5);

- rotate the trigger guard downwards (fig-ure 6) and extract it completely from theweapon by pulling it forward (figure 7).

- grasp the locking head pull it slightly for-ward (figure 8) and extract it completelyfrom the pistol, pulling it upward (figure 9);

- pull the bolt/slide back until the guidelugs are free of the receiver's guide slots(figure 10), rotate the lugs upward (figure11) and pull the bolt completely out ofthe pistol (figure 12);

The pistol is now completely stripped. Anyparts that may be involved in detailedchecking and cleaning, as well as triggeradjustment, are accessible.

N.B.It is also possible to strip partially the pistolby stripping either the bolt or the trigger as-sembly.For safety reasons, always make surethat the weapon is unloaded beforeundertaking any take-down operation.

Assembling the pistolTo assemble properly the pistol, followingroutine maintenance and cleaning or triggeraction adjustment, follow these steps in-

structions:- take the bolt and insert its rear portion

inside the receiver (figure 13), makingsure that the recoil spring slides insidethe receiver (figure 14);

- pull the bolt back by pushing on the guidelugs (figure 15). Align the guide lugs withthe receiver by rotating the bolt down-ward (figure 16) and insert the lugs com-pletely into the slots (figure 17);

- take the locking head and place it in itsseat in the receiver (figure 18). Push itslightly backwards to align it properly in itsseat (figure 19) and, while keeping italigned, press all the way down until itsnaps into its proper assembled position(figure 20);

- take the trigger guard, cock the hammer,if it isn't already cocked (figure 21), turnthe trigger guard towards the receiver sothat the rear slot "A" faces the corre-sponding retaining pin "B" inside the re-ceiver (figure 22 - drawing A-B) and insert

the trigger guard assembly all the wayinto the receiver (figure 23);

- once the trigger guard assembly is insert-ed properly in the receiver rotate the frontparty upward (figure 24) until the twoparts retention pin holes are aligned andpush the pin in until it is completely insidethe receiver (figure 25);

- take the magazine clip and insert it com-pletely into the well until it snaps intoplace (figure 26).

MaintenanceDue to its extreme simplicity and the accu-rate choice of materials, the Benelli pistoldoes not require any special maintenance.It is advisable, however, to:- routinely clean the barrel after shooting;- periodically clean and lubricate the trig-

ger action, which may be clogged by dustresidue that must be eliminated. This is to

be carried out with the assembly takendown.

To protect your gun's condition, keep allparts lightly lubricated.

Benelli Armi oil is recommended (figure27).

Trigger adjustment system

In order to adjust the trigger remove thetrigger guard assembly from the pistol. It isbest to reset the adjustment screws (figure28-29-30) very gradually and after havingmemorized the functions of the different

screws shown below:

Screw A - by turning it clockwise the weightof the first portion of the pull (free travel) in-creases, by turning it counterclockwise itdecreases.

Screw B - (inside screw C) by turning itclockwise the weight of the second portionof the pull (hammer release) increases, byturning it counterclockwise it decreases.

Screw C - by turning it clockwise the length ofthe second portion of the pull becomes long-er, turning it counterclockwise the pull be-comes shorter until it disappears altogether.

Screw D - this works as a trigger stop. Turn-ing it clockwise shortens the free travel ofthe trigger after the shot is fired, until it dis-appears altogether.Warning: if this screw is turned clock-wise too far, the hammer will not be re-leased.

Screw E - this is used only to block screw

C. Unscrew and screw down each time it isadjusted.

Cam pivot F - cam pivot features within it apart that is eccentric to its rotational axis.For its adjustment always refer to the ze-roing indexes shown on the parts. Turningthe cam pivot clockwise decreases thelength of the first portion of the pull, whileturning it counterclockwise increases it.In any case the index shown on the pivotmust stay always inside the sector which islimited by the two indexes on the guard (fig.30).Warning: if the cam pivot is turned clock-wise too far, the cocking cam can nolonger engage the hammer (the triggerassembly cannot be cocked!).

Screw G - this is used to shift longitudinal-ly and rotationally the trigger.

Screw H - this is used only to block campivot F. Unscrew and screw down each timeit is adjusted.

Varying the pistol's weightTo change the weight of the pistol followthese steps:1 - to decrease the weight, remove the

muzzle weight by unscrewing, with thespecial key, its fastening screw (figure31) and use the pistol without re-install-ing it;

2 - to increase the weight, ballast the inter-nal compartments of the muzzle weight(figure 32) and assemble it back on thegun, fastening the screw tightly (figure33).

Stripping the gripTo strip the grip follow these steps:- unscrew and remove the mobile palm

support fastening screw (figure 34) hold-ing the pistol horizontally in order to pre-vent the parts held down by the screwfrom falling off;

- remove the mobile palm support (figure35);

- remove the mobile palm support fasten-ing stud located inside the handle (figure36);

- unscrew the grip fastening nut and pull itoff the grip together with its washer (figure37);

- pull the grip off the receiver frame (figure38);

- pull the grip adjustment spacer off thereceiver frame (figure 39).

Grip adjustmentIt is possible to vary the longitudinal positionof the grip relative to the trigger. To take ad-vantage of this feature follow these instruc-tions:1 - to decrease the distance between grip

and trigger, remove the spacer insidethe grip;

2 - to increase the distance between gripand trigger, insert the spacer inside thegrip;

3 - in each of the two cases describedabove, adjust the trigger to optimize thedistance from the grip;

4 - if the optimum solution cannot bereached with the possible combinationsdescribed above, gradually reduce thetickness of the internal spacer.

Assemblying the gripTo assemble the grip follow these steps:- insert the grip adjustment spacer on the

receiver frame (figure 39). The grip can beassembled without this component if itisn't necessary for optimal adjustment;

- insert the grip on the tie rod until it is at-tached to the receiver frame (figure 40).During this operation make sure that therear guard retaining pin does not stick outfrom its hole.

- while holding vertically in your right handthe hex wrench to fasten the grip, place atits top the fastening nut with its supportwasher (figure 41). The washer must matewith the spoked concave part of the nut atthe rounded end and have its flat surfacefacing upward (figure 42);

- keeping the nut and washer balanced verti-cally on the hex wrench with the left hand,take the receiver frame/grip assembly,which you have already joined togetherand, holding them together, insert the nutand the washer inside the grip (figure 43);

- looking through the slot for the mobilepalm support screw, check that the nutand washer have remained in their prop-er assembly position (figure 44) andtighten them on the grip tie rod until thegrip is tightly fastened.

Warning: take care do not tighten thefastening nut too much because thegrip can be spoiled.

- while holding the pistol horizontally, insertthe mobile palm support fastening studinto the grip, being careful to align thethreaded hole with the grip slot (figure45);

- with the pistol still in a horizontal position,mount the mobile palm support onto thegrip making sure that the screw hole isaligned vertically with the threaded hole ofthe stud previously inserted inside the grip(figure 46);

- thread the mobile palm support fasteningscrew into the threaded hole of the studinside the grip. Tighten until the whole as-sembly is securely fastened (figure 47).

Safety leverThe trigger guard assembly, if supplied, isprovided with a safety lever suitable forboth right and left hand control, which islocated on the front part of the finger pro-tection slot.

This safety lever acts directly on the cockinghammer, leaving the trigger to be pressedfreely, in this way without decocking it.To place the cock in safety position, (whenthe hammer is cocked), rotate the safetylever anticlockwise from the positionshown in figure 48 to the position shown infigure 49.The firing position (figure 50) is easily rec-ognizable by the red point visible in theholes on the safety lever itself.

Warning: the safety lever must always bein place when the hammer is cocked, onlyin this way can the hammer be blocked.Whenever the safety lever is placed in theposition shown in figure 49 with the hammerdecocked, it is not possible to open thebreech block manually and consequently,the hammer cannot be cocked.To re-cock the hammer, it is necessary toreplace the safety lever in the positionshown in figure 48.

CARACTERISTIQUES TECHNIQUES

Les pistolets Benelli ont été conçus dans larecherche de la parfaite performance dechacune de ses parties, en vue d'éliminer leplus possible tout grippage, rupture, usuredans le temps, et tout ce qui pourrait consti-tuer, lors des compétitions, une raison deforte appréhension pour le Tireur.

D'innombrables tests expérimentaux et unlong emploi pratique sur les champs de tirsont la meilleure garantie de la fiabilité ab-solue de nos armes.

Ceci permet au tireur d'avoir vite pleinementconfiance dans l'"outil" arme qu'il est entrain d'utiliser, et du point de vue psycholo-gique, d'atteindre aisément la plus hauteconcentration nécessaire en compétition.

Voilà, en dernière analyse, les résultatspouvant être obtenus grâce aux caractéris-tiques techniques spéciales des pistoletsBenelli, qui se synthétisent de la façon sui-vante:

La ligne de mire est extrêmement rappro-chée de l'axe du canon (17 mm environ), le-quel est parfaitement aligné avec l'avant-bras et passe seulement à 2 mm environau-dessus de la partie arrière de la crossequi repose sur la partie haute de la mainentre le pouce et l'index; ceci permet, éga-lement grâce à une pente de crosse parfai-te, de limiter au maximum le relèvement del'arme, d'éviter les erreurs dues à la torsiondu poignet et aussi d'obtenir un réarme-ment facile et rapide de l'arme après la dé-chargement.

La crosse anatomique complètement ré-glable, est étudiée dans ses moindres dé-tails pour offrir des solutions optimales auxexigences particulières de chaque tireur; el-le permet une personnalisation toujours ai-sée, puisqu'elle ne loge aucune partie mé-canique à son intérieur et que le tirant cen-tral de blocage, passant dans un trou, per-met de déplacer la crosse en long, en va-riant sa position par rapport à la détente.

Tout cela est rendu possible par l'introduc-tion d'une cale d'épaisseur variable sur leplan arrière d'appui de l'arme à la crosse,en permettant différentes possibilités d'a-daptation individuelles sans devoir interve-nir sur la forme anatomique de la crosse,mais par la simple adaptation de l'épaisseurde la cale.

Le mécanisme de déclenchement est am-plement réglable grâce à la distribution despoids et au coulissage des plans de déclen-chement, à même de satisfaire les person-nalisations les plus sophistiquées. C'est lapartie la plus innovative, celle qui caractéri-se davantage nos pistolets de tir; toutes lesfonctions de réglage complexes sont ici ap-pliquées, d'une manière simple et originale,à trois éléments essentiels constituant lemécanisme de déclenchement lui-même(chien, support-détente et sélecteur).Cette solution technique particulière permetd'utiliser le sélecteur aussi bien commedent de détente que comme dent d'accro-

chage de sécurité du chien, par la variationsimple et automatique de la prise sur lechien, dans le passage d'une position àl'autre.On obtient ainsi une optimisation du déclen-chement d'une manière entièrement per-sonnalisable avec la plus haute sensibilitérequise, indépendamment des tolérancesd'exécution de chaque partie et sans aucu-ne nécessité d'adaptation en oeuvre, sim-plement en agissant sur les dispositifs deréglage prévus qui, suivant le calibre, per-mettent de:- varier la position du "trigger stop" indé-

pendamment des autres réglages (surtous les calibres),

- varier en long et latéralement en rotationla position de la détente sans besoin d'in-tervenir sur les réglages déjà établis (pourtous les calibres),

- varier la longueur de la pré-course avecune bonne marge de personnalisation(pour cal. 22 LR et 32 Wad Cutter),

- varier la résistance de la détente au dé-clenchement en distribuant la charge tota-le conformément aux normes U.I.T.S. en-tre le 1er temps (précourse) et le secondtemps (décrochage du chien) en rapportaux exigences d'emploi de chacun (pourcal. 22 LR et 32 Wad Cutter).

L'ensemble de déclanchement est com-plètement indépendant et peut être déposéde l'arme sans nécessité de démontage; ilpermet le réglage et le contrôle de tout ledéclenchement séparément du reste del'arme; l'ensemble de déclenchement offreenfin au tireur la possibilité de voir, l'armeétant montée, si le chien est armé ou dé-sarmé grâce à un “avis de chien armé”agissant sur la partie inférieure externe dela garde.

L'obturateur est extrêmement simple et ro-buste, il permet de disperser au maximumles gaz résiduels et possède un large espa-

ce d'expulsion des douilles. Il se dépose del'arme sans clé ou outils spéciaux et estmuni de deux ailerons de guidage permet-tant de saisir la pièce en cas de déverrouil-lage manuel de l'arme. Il peut être maintenudans cette position grâce à un bouton-pous-soir latéral pouvant facilement être com-mandé par la même main qui le déverrouil-le.

Le contrepoids est logé à l'intérieur de laculasse, sous le canon. Sans nuire à l'es-thétique de l'arme on peut:

- réduire son poids par le simple démonta-ge de son contrepoids,

- augmenter son poids, par le simple rem-plissage avec du plomb, dans la mesuredésirée, des poches internes du contre-poids lui-même.

Démontage de l'armePour un entretien et un démontage normal,ainsi que pour régler le mécanisme de dé-tente exclusivement pour ce qui a trait àl'ensemble de la sous-garde, procéder audémontage du pistolet dans l'ordre suivant:- retirer le chargeur en appuyant sur le bou-

ton-poussoir d'arrêt du chargeur (fig. 1),- amener l'obturateur en position de déver-

rouillage en l'appuyant contre les aileronsde guidage et l'immobiliser dans cette po-sition en agissant sur le bouton-poussoird'arrêt (fig. 2),

- retirer la cale de protection du percuteurpour essayer l'arme en blanc (fig. 3), véri-fier que la chambre d'explosion soit videet ramener l'obturateur dans sa positionde verrouillage (fig. 4),

- dégager la goupille d'arrêt de la garde enla poussant par la droite ou par la gaucheà l'aide d'un pointeau (fig. 5),

- faire pivoter la sous-garde vers le bas (fig.6) et l'extraire complètement de l'arme en

la tirant vers l'avant (fig. 7).- saisir le support de verrouillage, le tirer

légèrement vers l'avant (fig. 8) et l'extrairecomplètement du pistolet en tirant vers lehaut (fig. 9),

- faire reculer l'obturateur jusqu'à ce queses ailerons de guidage sortent des guidesde la culasse (fig. 10), faire tourner les aile-rons vers le haut (fig. 11) et extraire com-plètement l'obturateur de l'arme (fig. 12),

Le pistolet est ainsi entièrement démonté;les parties devant être nettoyées et soi-gneusement vérifiées ainsi que les réglagesde la détente sur la sous-garde sont tousaccessibles.

N.B.: Un démontage partiel de l'arme est é-galement possible en choisissant indifférem-ment, suivant les nécessités, soit l'ensembleobturateur, soit l'ensemble sous-garde.Il est impératif, pour des raisons de sé-curité, de toujours vérifier que l'arme soitdéchargée avant d'effectuer toute opéra-tion de démontage.

Montage de l'armePour un montage correct du pistolet aprèsun entretien ou un nettoyage normal ouaprès tout réglage du mécanisme de dé-clenchement, procéder dans l'ordre suivant:

- introduire la partie arrière de l'obtura-teur à l'intérieur de la culasse (fig. 13) enveillant à ce que le ressort de rappelpasse sous l'arrêt également situé à l'inté-rieur de la culasse (fig. 14),

- faire reculer l'obturateur en appuyant surles ailerons de guidage (fig. 15), alignerles ailerons aux guides de la culasse enfaisant pivoter l'obturateur vers le bas(fig. 16) et introduire entièrement les aile-rons sur les guides (fig. 17),

tiquement dans sa position de montagecorrecte (fig. 20),

- saisir la sous-garde, armer le chien s'iln'est pas encore armé (fig. 21), orienter lasous-garde vers la culasse de manière àce que la fente arrière “A” soit tournéevers la goupille de positionnement “B”correspondante, située à l'intérieur de laculasse (fig. 22 - croquis A-B) et introduirecomplètement la sous-garde sur la cu-lasse (fig. 23),

- la sous-garde étant bien insérée dans laculasse, faire pivoter la partie avant versle haut (fig. 24) jusqu'à ce que les trousd'emplacement de la goupille d'immobili-sation des deux parties coîncident. Intro-duire ensuite la goupille par la droite oupar la gauche en l'immobilisant lorsqu'elleest entièrement enfoncée dans la culasse(fig. 25),

- saisir le chargeur et l'engager complète-ment dans son logement jusqu'à ce qu'ilreste automatiquement accroché (fig. 26).

EntretienDu fait de son extrême simplicité et du choixparticulier des matériaux, les pistolets Be-nelli ne nécessitent d'aucun entretien parti-culier.Les quelques contrôles nécessaires sont:- nettoyage normal du canon après utilisa-

tion,- l'ensemble de déclenchement risque d'ê-

tre encrassé par les résidus de poudre; ilconviendra de les éliminer par un net-toyage périodique et un graissage s'ef-fectuant l'ensemble étant monté;

- l'ensemble obturateur peut lui aussi s'en-crasser avec des résidus de poudre qu'ilfaudra éliminer périodiquement par unnettoyage normal et un graissage s'ef-fectuant toujours l'ensemble étant monté.

Pour conserver l'arme en bon état, il est re-commandé de garder légèrement lubrifiéestoutes les parties.Il est vivement conseillé d'utiliser l'huileBenelli Armi (fig. 27).

MP90S cal. 32 Wad CutterPour régler le déclenchement retirer de l'ar-me l'ensemble de la sous-garde, il est re-commandé d'agir très graduellement surles vis de réglage (fig. 28-29-30) en mémo-risant d'abord exactement la fonction desdifférentes vis indiquée ci-dessous:Vis A - en la tournant dans le sens des ai-guilles d'une montre, le poids du 1er tempsde déclenchement (précourse) augmente,en la tournant dans le sens contraire, cepoids diminue.Vis B - (à l'intérieur de la vis C) en la tour-nant dans le sens des aiguilles d'une mon-tre, le poids du 2ème temps de déclenche-ment augmente, en la tournant dans lesens contraire, ce poids diminue.Vis C - en la tournant dans le sens des ai-guilles d'une montre, la course du 2èmetemps de déclenchement s'allonge, en latournant dans le sens contraire cette coursediminue jusqu'à disparaître.

Vis D - elle fait fonction de "trigger stop"; enla tournant dans le sens des aiguilles d'unemontre la course à vide de la détente seraccourcit après avoir tiré le coup jusqu'àdisparaître.Attention: en tournant trop cette visdans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre,le déclenchement ne s'actionne plus.Vis E - elle sert exclusivement à immobili-ser la vis C, pour tout réglage desserrer etresserrer.Axe à came F - L'axe à came possède àson intérieur une partie excentrique parrapport à son axe de rotation, pour son ré-glage toujours se référer aux repères demise à zéro indiqués sur les parties; enfaisant pivoter l'axe à came dans le sensdes aiguilles d'une montre, la course du1er temps diminue, et le faisant pivoterdans le sens contraire la course du 1ertemps augmente. Le repère indiqué surl’axe doit toujours rester à l’intérieur dusecteur entre les deux repères indiqués sur

la sous-garde (fig. 30).Attention: si l'on tourne trop dans lesens des aiguilles d'une montre, la dentd'accrochage ne parvient plus à accro-cher le chien (le déclenchement ne s'ar-me plus!)Vis G - elle sert à positionner la détenteen long et en rotation.Vis H - elle sert exclusivement à immobili-ser l'axe à came F, pour tout réglage des-serrer et resserrer.

Variation du poids du pistoletSi l'on désire diminuer le poids de l'armeprocéder de la manière suivante:1 - pour diminuer le poids, retirer le contre-

poids en desserrant, à l'aide de la cléspéciale, sa vis de fixation (fig. 31) etutiliser l'arme sans le remonter;

Réglage de la crosseOn peut faire varier en longueur la positionde la crosse par rapport à la détente; pourprofiter de cette possibilité, procéder de lamanière suivante:1 - pour réduire la distance entre la cros-

se et la détente retirer la cale servantd'entretoise, à l'intérieur de la crosse,

2 - pour augmenter la distance entre lacrosse et la détente introduire une ca-le servant d'entretoise à l'intérieur de lacrosse,

3 - pour chacune des deux conditions indi-quées ci-dessus, agir sur la détentepour optimiser la distance par rapport àla crosse,

4 - pour réduire graduellement la hauteurde l'entretoise interne lorsque, malgréles combinaisons indiquées ci-dessus,l'optimisation désirée n'est pas obtenue.

Montage de la crossePour monter la crosse procéder de la ma-nière suivante:

- insérer dans la culasse la cale de réglagede la crosse (fig. 39); le montage de lacrosse est possible même sans cet élé-ment lorsque, pour un réglage optimal,son utilisation n'est pas nécessaire;

- mettre la crosse sur l'axe de fixation en lafaisant ensuite toucher à la culasse (fig.40); au cours de cette opération vérifierque l'axe de fixation arrière de la sous-garde ne sorte pas de son trou;

- la clé hexagonale de blocage de la crosseétant sur la main droite et en position verti-cale, placer sur son extrémité l'écrou deserrage de la crosse avec sa rondelled'appui correspondante (fig. 41), la partiecreuse à rayons de la rondelle devant secoupler avec l'extrémité sphérique de l'é-crou et la partie pleine devant être tournéevers le haut (fig. 42),

- l'écrou et la rondelle étant en équilibre eten position verticale sur la clé hexagona-le, saisir de la main gauche l'ensembleculasse-crosse, précédemment assem-blé et ceux-ci étant toujours assemblés,introduire l'écrou et la rondelle à l'inté-rieur de la crosse elle-même (fig. 43),

- vérifier par le trou d'emplacement de lavis de l'appui mobile base main, que l'é-crou et la rondelle soient bien dans leurposition de montage correcte (fig. 44) etserrer l'ensemble sur le tirant de fixationde la crosse jusqu'à son immobilisationcomplète.Attention: ne pas tourner trop l’écrou deserrage car on peut causer des domma-ges à la crosse.

- le pistolet étant en position horizontale, in-troduire l'axe de fixation de l'appui mobi-le base main sur la crosse, en ayant soinde faire coîncider le trou fileté avec le troude la crosse elle-même (fig. 45).

- le pistolet étant en sa position horizontale,

monter l'appui mobile base main sur lacrosse en prenant sous-garde que le troud'emplacement de la vis soit aligné, verti-calement, avec le trou fileté de l'axe pré-cédemment inséré à l'intérieur de la cros-se (fig. 46),

Levier de sécuritéSur demande, le groupe de sous-gardepourra être muni d’un levier de sécuritéambidextre, mis en place sur la partieavant du pontet.Le levier de sécurité agit directement sur lechien de l'arme, laissant libre la queue dedétente qui ne peut plus désarmer le chien.Pour ramener l'arme en sécurité, le chienétant armé, tourner le levier de sécurité

dans le sens contraire des aiguilles d'u-ne montre, en passant de la position indi-quée à la fig. 48 à celle illustrée dans la fi-gure 49.La position de tir indiquée à la fig. 50 se re-connaît facilement grâce au point rouge vi-sible à travers le trou réalisé sur le levier desécurité lui-même.

Attention: le levier de sécurité doit tou-jours être enclenché lorsque le chien estarmé; c'est la seule manière permettantd'intervenir correctement sur le verrouillagedu chien.Au cas où le levier de sécurité serait dans laposition illustrée à la fig. 49 alors que lechien est désarmé, le déverrouillage manuelne sera pas possible, tout comme l'arme-ment conséquent du chien.Pour pouvoir réarmer le chien, le levier desécurité devra être ramené dans la positionde tir indiquée à la figure 48.

Die Benelli-Pistolen sind so konzipiert, daßfür jedes Teil Wert auf eine perfekte undständige Feuerbereitschaft gelegt wordenist, um Ladehemmungen, Bruch, Verschleißauf ein Minimum zu reduzieren, alles Ele-mente, die bei einem Schießwettbewerb einGrund für die starke Anspannung desSchützen sein können.Eine unzählige Anzahl an Tests und langepraktische Anwendung auf den Schießstän-den sind die beste Garantie für die volle Zu-verlässigkeit unserer Waffen.So kann der Schütze schnell volles Ver-trauen in sein “Werkzeug”, die Waffe, die erbenutzt, gewinnen, damit er auch die wäh-rend des Wettkampfes erforderliche maxi-male Konzentration psychologisch leichtererreichen kann.Letztendlich sind diese Ergebnisse auchdank der besonderen technischen Merkma-le der Benelli-Pistolen erreicht worden, diesich wie folgt zusammenfassen lassen:

Extrem kurze Visierline (nur 17 mm) vonder Achse des Laufs, perfekt ausgerichtetauf den Unterarm und nur 2 mm über demhinteren Teil des Griffs verlaufend der aufdem hohen Teil der Hand zwischen Dau-men und Zeigefinger ruht; damit lassen sichauch dank eines perfekten Griffwinkels diePeilung der Waffe maximieren, Fehler durchfalsche Haltung des Handgelenks vermei-den und kann die Waffe nach dem Schußschnell wieder ausgerichtet werden.

Anatomisch geformter, vollständig ver-stellbarer Griff und in den kleinsten Einzel-heiten so konzipiert, daß er für die beson-deren Anforderungen der verschiedenenSchützen beste Lösungen bietet. Erlaubtein leichtes Vertrautwerden mit der Waffe,weist keine mechanischen Teile im Griff auf,und die zentrale Verriegelung erlaubt es,den Griff über einen Schlitz in Längsrich-tung zu verschieben und die Stellung ge-genüber dem Abzug zu verändern. Dies ist

möglich dank einer Beilage in unterschied-licher Stärke, die auf die hintere Auflageflä-che der Waffe am Griff gelegt wird, wodurchman verschiedene Möglichkeiten der indivi-duellen Anpassung erhält, ohne die anato-mische Form des Griffes zu verändern, son-dern einfach nur die Stärke der Beilage an-paßt.

Voll verstellbarer Abzugmechanismus fürdie Gewichtsverteilung und weichen Abzug,um auch den weitestgehenden persönli-chen Anforderungen der einzelnen Schüt-zen gerecht zu werden. Dies ist der innova-tivste Teil, der unsere Pistolen am stärkstenkennzeichnet. Alle komplexen Regelfunktio-nen werden in der Tat extrem einfach an-gewendet und nur drei wesentliche Elemen-te bilden den Abzugsmechanismus selbst(Hahn, Abzugshalterung und Unterbrecher).Die besondere technische Lösung bestehtdarin, daß der Unterbrecher sowohl als Ab-zugszahn verwendet wird als auch als Hahn-

sicherung, wobei nur der Eingriff am Hahnbeim Übergang von einer Stellung in die an-dere verändert wird.Man erreicht so eine Optimierung des Ab-zugs, die dem einzelnen Schützen ange-paßt werden kann, und enthält eine maxi-male Ansprechempfindlichkeit ohne Not-wendigkeit von Anpassungen vor Ort, nurdurch Betätigung der Einstellungen wiefolgt:

- Veränderung der Stellung der Abzugssi-cherung (unabhängig von den anderenEinstellungen (für alle Kaliber);

- Veränderung der Stellung des Abzugs inLängs- und seitlicher Richtung ohneNotwendigkeit eines Eingriffs an den an-deren schon vorgenommenen Einstellun-gen (für alle Kaliber);

- Veränderung der Vorlauflänge mit großerBerücksichtigung der persönlichen Erfor-dernisse (für Kaliber 22 LR und 32 WadCutter);

- Veränderung des Abzugswiderstands undder Verteilung der von den UITS-Normenvorgesehenen Belastung zwischen ersterZeit (Vorlauf) und zweiter Zeit (Auslösungdes Hahns) (entsprechend den persön-lichen Einsatzbedingungen (für Kaliber22 LR und 32 Wad Cutter).

Der Abzug Kann von der Waffe vollstän-dig getrennt werden, ohne daß diese aus-einandergebaut werden muß, und macht essomit möglich, den gesamten Abzug sepa-rat von der übrigen Waffe einzustellen undzu kontrollieren. Der Abzug bietet demSchützen schließlich die Möglichkeit, beider zusammengebauten Waffe dank einer“Anzeige Hahn gespannt” zu sehen, obder Hahn gespannt ist oder nicht; diese An-zeige wirkt auf den unteren äußeren Teil derSicherung.

Der extrem einfache und robuste Ver-schluß erlaubt die maximale Verteilung der

Rückstoßgase und bietet ausreichend Platzfür das Auswerfen der Geschoßhülsen. DerVerschluß kann von der Waffe ohne Schlüs-sel und/oder Spezialwerkzeug abgebautwerden und ist mit zwei bequemen Füh-rungsrippen versehen, die auch als Aufnah-me des Teils für die manuelle Öffnung derWaffe dienen, und er kann durch einenpraktischen seitlichen Druckknopf, der vonder Hand, die ihn in Öffnungsstellung bringt,betätigt wird, in dieser Stellung gehaltenwerden.

Gegengewichte im Kolben unter demHahn; ohne Veränderung des äußeren Er-scheinungsbildes der Waffe ist es möglich:- Ihr Gewicht einfach zu reduzieren, indem

man das Gegengewicht abbaut;- Das Gewicht einfach zu erhöhen, indem

man die inneren Taschen des Gegenge-wichtes im gewünschten Maße mit Bleifüllt.

Auseinanderbauen der WaffeFür eine normale Wartung und Reinigungsowie für die Einstellung des Abzugs in be-zug auf die Sicherung ist beim Auseinander-bau der Pistole in folgender Reihenfolgevorzugehen:- entfernung des Magazins durch Drücken

auf den Magazinsperrdruckknopf (Abb. 1);- den Verschluß in Öffnungsstellung bringen,

wozu man ihn an den Führungsrippen faßtund ihn in dieser Stellung, auf den Sperr-druckknopf drückend, festhält (Abb. 2);

- die Schlagbolzenbeilage für das Testender Waffe (Abb. 3) entfernen, wobei zuüberprüfen ist, daß die Schußkammer freiist, und den Verschluß wieder in die Sch-ließstellung bringen (Abb. 4);

- den Sicherungshaltestift abziehen, in-dem man ihn mit einem Treiber von rechtsoder links herausschlägt (Abb. 5);

- die Sicherung nach unten drehen (Abb. 6)und sie, nach vorne ziehend, vollständigvon der Waffe abziehen (Abb. 7).

- die Verschlußhalterung nehmen, leichtnach vorn ziehen (Abb. 8) und sie, nachoben ziehend, vollständig aus der Pistoleherausziehen (Abb. 9);

- den Verschluß zurückziehen, bis seineFührungsrippen aus den Führungen desKolben heraustreten (Abb. 10); die Rippennach oben drehen (Abb. 11) und den Ver-schluß vollständig von der Waffe ab-ziehen (Abb. 12);

Die Pistole ist vollständig auseinanderge-baut. Die Teile, die für eine genaue Über-prüfung und Reinigung sowie für die Ein-stellung des Abzugs an der Sicherungbenötigt werden, sind alle zugänglich.

P.S. Auch ein Teilauseinanderbau der Waffeist möglich, indem man entweder - ent-sprechend den Notwendigkeiten - den Ver-schluß oder die Sicherung wählt.Aus Sicherheitsgründen wird immerempfohlen, zu überprüfen, ob die Waffeentladen ist, bevor man beginnt, sie aus-einanderzubauen.

Zusammenbau der WaffeFür den richtigen Zusammenbau der Waffenach normaler Wartung und Reinigung odernach Einstellung des Abzugs ist in folgen-der Reihenfolge vorzugehen:

- Den Verschluß nehmen und seinen hin-teren Teil auf den Kolben schieben (Abb.13), wobei darauf zu achten ist, daß dieRückholfeder voll in den Kolben greift(Abb. 14).

- Den Verschluß zurückziehen, indem manauf die Führungsrippen drückt (Abb. 15);die Führungsrippen des Kolbens ausrich-ten, wobei man den Verschluß nach un-ten dreht (Abb. 16), und die Rippen voll-ständig auf die Führungen schieben(Abb. 17).

- Die Verschlußhalterung nehmen und sieauf ihren Sitz am Kolben setzen (Abb. 18);sie entsprechend ausrichten, indem mansie leicht nach hinten zieht (Abb. 19) undsie, diese Ausrichtung beibehaltend, nach

unten drücken, bis sie automatisch in dierichtige Montageposition einklinkt (Abb.20).

- Die Sicherung nehmen, den Hahn span-nen, falls er nicht schon gespannt ist(Abb. 21), und den Hahn gegenüber demKolben so ausrichten, daß der hintereSchnitt “A” übereinstimmt mit dem ent-sprechenden Positionierstift “B” im Kol-ben (Abb. 22), und die Sicherung voll-ständig am Kolben einsetzen (Abb. 23).

- Wenn die Sicherung richtig im Kolben ein-gesetzt ist, den vorderen Teil nach obendrehen (Abb. 24) bis die Bohrungen fürdie Aufnahme des Haltestifts der zwei Tei-le zusammenfallen, und den Stift vonlinks oder rechts einschieben, bis er voll-ständig im Kolben sitzt (Abb. 25).

- Das Magazin nehmen und es vollständigeinsetzen, bis es automatisch einrastet(Abb. 26).

WartungWegen ihrer extremen Einfachheit und dersorgfältigen Auswahl der Materialien benöti-gen die Benelli-Pistolen keine besondereWartung.Die wenigen empfohlenen Kontrollen sind:- Normale Reinigung des Laufs nach Ge-

brauch;- Der Abzug kann durch Pulverrückstände

verunreinigt werden, die regelmäßig ent-fernt werden müssen, gefolgt von einerSchmierung, die immer im zusammenge-bauten Zustand erfolgen soll;

- Der Verschluß kann auch durch Pulver-rückstände verunreinigt werden, die regel-mäßig durch normale Reinigung zu ent-fernen sind, gefolgt von einer Schmie-rung, ebenfalls immer im zusammenge-bauten Zustand durchzuführen.

Zwecks besserer Konservierung der Waffesind alle Teile leicht geschmiert zu halten.Es wird empfohlen, das Waffenöl von Be-nelli zu benutzen (Abb. 27).

AbzugseinstellsystemModell MP 90 S Kaliber 22 LRModell MP 90 S Kaliber 32 Wad CutterZur Einstellung des Abzugs ist die Siche-rung zu demontieren. Es wird empfohlen,die Einstellschrauben (Abb. 28-29-30) ganzallmählich zu betätigen, wobei man sichzuerst ganz genau die Funktion der ver-schiedenen Schrauben merkt, wie sie nach-folgend angegeben ist.Schraube A - durch Drehen im Uhrzeigersinnnimmt das Gewicht der ersten Abzugszeit(Vorlauf) zu, dreht man sie entgegengesetztdem Uhrzeigersinn, nimmt dieses Gewicht ab.Schraube B - (in der Schraube C) drehtman sie im Uhrzeigersinn, nimmt das Ge-wicht der zweiten Abzugszeit zu, dreht mansie entgegengesetzt dem Uhrzeigersinn,nimmt dieses Gewicht ab.Schraube C - dreht man sie im Uhrzei-gersinn, wird der Weg der zweiten Abzugs-zeit länger, dreht man sie entgegengesetztdem Uhrzeigersinn, wird er kürzer, bis erganz verschwindet.

Schraube D - dient als Abzugsanschlag.Wird sie im Uhrzeigersinn gedreht, wird derLeerweg des Abzugs nach Abfeuern desSchusses verkürzt, bis er ganz verschwindet.Achtung: Dreht man die Schraube zusehr im Uhrzeigersinn, wird der Abzugnicht mehr betätigt.Schraube E - ausschließlich zur Blockierungder Schraube C, ist für jede Einstellung zu lö-sen und wieder anzuziehen.Nockenbolzen F - der Nockenbolzen ist in-nen mit einem bezogen auf seine Dreh-achste exzentrisch angeordneten Teil ver-sehen. Für die Einstellung dienen immer dieauf den Teilen angegebenen Nulleinstell-werte. Dreht man den Nockenbolzen im Uhr-zeigersinn, nimmt der Weg der ersten Zeitab, dreht man ihn entgegengesetzt dem Uhr-zeigersinn, nimmt der Weg der ersten Zeitzu. Auf jeden Fall muß die Einstellung aufder Achse immer sichtbar zwischen denzwei Markierungen auf dem Gehäuse liegen(Abb. 30).Achtung: Dreht man ihn zu sehr im Uhr-

zeigersinn, kann der Einklinkzahn nichtmehr in den Hahn einrasten (der Abzugwird nicht mehr gespannt!).Schraube G - dient zur Positionierung desAbzugs in Längsrichtung und bei der Drehung.Schraube H - dient ausschließlich zur Blockie-rung des Nockenbolzens F und ist für jede Ein-stellung zu lösen und wieder anzuziehen.

Veränderung des PistolengewichtesWill man das Gewicht der Waffe reduzieren,geht man wie folgt vor:1 - Um das Gewicht zu reduzieren, entfernt

man das Gegengewicht, indem man seineBefestigungsschraube mit einem geeigne-ten Schlüssel löst (Abb. 31) und die Waffebenutzt, ohne es wieder zu montieren.

2 - Um das Gewicht zu erhöhen, sind dieinneren Taschen des Gegengewichtesmit Ballast zu versehen (Abb. 32), wo-nach das Gegengewicht wieder montiertwerden muß, indem die Befestigungs-schraube bis zum Anschlag einge-schraubt wird (Abb. 33).

Abbau des GriffsUm den Griff abzubauen, ist wie folgt vorzu-gehen:- Die Befestigungsschraube der demon-

tierbaren Handauflage lösen und entfer-nen (Abb. 34), wobei die Pistole horizontalgehalten wird, damit die durch die Schrau-ben gehaltenen Teile nicht herunterfallen.

- Die demontierbare Handauflage entfer-nen (Abb. 35).

- Den Stift zur Befestigung der demontier-baren Handauflage, der im Griff befestigtist, entfernen (Abb. 36).

- Die Griffbefestigungsmutter entfernenund sie zusammen mit ihrer Unterleg-scheibe vom Griff abziehen (Abb. 37).

- Den Griff vom Kolben abziehen (Abb. 38).- Die Griffbeilage vom Kolben abziehen

(Abb. 39).

Einstellung des GriffsEs ist möglich, die Stellung des Griffs inLängsrichtung bezogen aus den Abzug zuverändern. Um diese Möglichkeit zweck-mäßig zu nutzen, ist wie folgt vorzugehen:

1 - Um den Abstand von Griff zu Abzug zureduzieren, ist die Beilage auf der In-nenseite des Griffs, die als Abstands-stück dient, zu entfernen.

2 - Um den Abstand zwischen Griff und Ab-zug zu erhöhen, ist auf der Griffinnen-seite eine als Abstandsstück wirkendeBeilage einzusetzen.

3 - Bei jeder der oben erwähnten zwei Be-dingungen ist der Abzug zu betätigen,um den Abstand zum Griff zu optimieren.

4 - Die Höhe des inneren Abstandsstückesallmählich reduzieren, wenn es durchdie oben erwähnten möglichen Kombi-nationen nicht möglich ist, die gewün-schte Optimierung zu erhalten.

GriffmontageUm den Griff einzubauen, ist wie folgt vorzu-gehen:- Die Griffstärkenbeilage am Kolben be-

festigen (Abb. 39). Es ist möglich, denGriff auch ohne diese Beilage zu montier-en, wenn eine solche Beilage durch dieoptimale Griffeinstellung überflüssig wird.

- Den Griff am Befestigungsstift montierenund ihn dann auf den Kolben pressen (Abb.40). Während dieses Vorgangs überprüfen,daß der hintere Sicherungsbefestigungsstiftnicht aus seiner Aufnahme tritt.

- In der rechten Hand in vertikaler Stellungden Sechskantschlüssel für die Blockie-rung des Griffs halten und an seinem Endedie Griffanzugsmutter mit ihrer Beilageansetzen (Abb. 41). Die Beilage soll mit ih-rem gerillten Konkaventeil zum kugeligenEnde der Mutter passen, und ihr flacherTeil soll nach oben gerichtet sein (Abb. 42).

- Mutter und Beilage am Sechskantschlüs-

sel in ausgeglichener vertikaler Stellunghalten und mit der linken Hand Kolbenund Griff, vorher zusammengesetzt, neh-men und Mutter und Beilage am Griff be-festigen (Abb. 43).

- Vom schlitzförmigen Sitz der Schraube fürdie demontierbare Handauflage her über-prüfen, daß Mutter und Beilage ihre rich-tige Stellung behalten haben (Abb. 44)und das ganze bis zur vollständigen Fest-setzung des Griffes an der Griffbefesti-gungsstange anschrauben.Achtung: Ziehen Sie die Schraube nichtzu fest, sonst kann der Holzgriff split-tern.

- Die Pistole in der Waagerechten halten,den Stift für die Befestigung der de-montierbaren Handauflage am Griff einset-zen, wobei darauf zu achten ist, daß dieBohrung auf den Schlitz des Griffs aus-gerichtet wird (Abb. 45).

Griff anbringen, wobei darauf geachtetwerden muß, daß die Aufnahme für dieSchraube vertikal mit der Gewindebohrungdes vorher im Griff eingesetzten Stiftesübereinstimmt (Abb. 46).

- Die Befestigungsschraube der demon-tierbaren Handauflage anbringen, wobeider Schaft an der Gewindebohrung desStifts im Griff angeschraubt wird, bis allesstabil festsitzt (Abb. 47).

Sicherungshebel

Soweit ein Abzugsbügel montiert ist, wird ermit einem Sicherungshebel geliefert, dersich links- und rechtshändig bedienenläßt. Er befindet sich im vorderen Teil desFingerausschnittes des Abzugsbügels.Dieser Sicherungshebel wirkt direkt auf dengespannten Hahn. Der Abzug läßt sich ingesichertem Zustand durchziehen, ohne daßder Hahn abschlagen kann.

Um die Waffe bei gespanntem Hahn zu si-chern, wird der Sicherungshebel gegen demUhrzeigersinn von der in der Abb. 48 ge-zeigten Stellung in die andere in der Abb. 49gezeigten Stellung geschwenkt.Die Schußbereitschaft (Abb. 50) der Waffeist einfach zu erkennen, denn es ist dann inder Öffnung am eigentlichen Sicherungsbü-gel ein roter Punkt zu sehen.Achtung: Der Sicherungshebel muß immerauf die Stellung “Gesichert” gestellt wer-den, wenn der Hahn gespannt wird, dennnur so kann der Hahn blockiert werden.Wenn sich der Sicherungshebel bei ent-spanntem Hahn in der in Abbildung 49 ge-zeigten Stellung befindet, dann ist es nichtmöglich, den Verschluß der Waffe zu öff-nen, und folglich kann auch der Hahn nichtgespannt werden.Um den Hahn erneut zu spannen, mußder Sicherungshebel auf die in der Abbil-dung 48 gezeigte Stellung gelegt werden.
