  • OBJECTIVES OF PROPOSAL

    FRENSTER12 is known as FIESTA RUMAH TERBUKA RAJA DR. NAZRIN SHAH, the 12th residential college in University of Malaya. The organizing committee would like to invite you to sponsor in our program. As an entirely non-profit, self-sustaining student run project, we have no established financial backing. Thus, we wish to form a partnership of mutual benefit with you through this memorable event which supports cultural interaction, communication activities, practical understanding and enhance business networking and youth development as well.

    By participating in FRENSTER12 2015, your company will enjoy benefits such as:

    A demonstration of good corporate citizenship. Build up a good perception of your company as being supportive in undergraduate activities thus enabling these future employees to support

    your company products or services in the coming year.

    A long-term investment as the participant might work for your company in the future.

    Your company will be made known among at least the 3,000 participants, which includes undergraduates, post-graduates, trainees from other

    countries, officials of university, corporate bodies associated with University

    of Malaya and the public. (Through our publicity drive, souvenirs, books and

    etc.)

    aims and visions to serve the society better towards a brighter tomorrow.

    can provide. In other words your company is contributing towards the

    intellectuals development of future leaders.

  • WHAT IS FRENSTER12

    ?

    Despite the complexity of the

    performances, all of them will be carried

    out by undergraduates of University of

    Malaya. The grand opening ceremony will be

    at the Dewan Gemilang of Raja Dr. Nazrin

    Shah Residential College.

    The aim of this event is to attract over

    thousands attendees excluding the 3,000

    residents of Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah Residential

    College. For the entire event, the admission

    fee is free.

    Fiesta Rumah Terbuka Raja Dr. Nazrin

    Shah Residential College (FRENSTER 12)

    is the ninth times ever event

    organized by 12th Residential College

    University of Malaya. This mega event

    consists of 12 college projects that will

    be held within 5 days. All students of

    University of Malaya as well as members

    of the public are welcome to grace this

    unforgetable event.

    FRENSTER12 2015 will be held with

    several of exhibitions, cultural

    performances, and sports. This event

    will present the theme of Never Gets Old which will bring us back to our childhood moments. Prior to the

    actual event, we will conduct a road

    show involving all residential colleges

    and faculties in University of Malaya.

    Banners and posters will be put up

    within campus and handbills will be

    distributed as well.

  • To promote Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah Residential College, the

    12th residential college and University of Malaya

    along with the vision and mission to the community.

    To foster the integration and create strong relationship

    between different races.

    To help students to be more open-minded, innovative,

    creative and have a good sense of social issues

    To enhance accountability and responsibility among the

    students as well.

    To introduce the uniqueness of different races and

    cultures.

    To get the involvement of corporate and private bodies

    to promote their products to the students

    PROGRAMME SCHEDULE

  • 1. Opening Ceremony of FRENSTER12 The night of the opening ceremony is a night where all the programs will

    be launch for a period of five days with a Disney theme. During the night,

    refreshments will be served for free to all the students. This can be use as

    an opportunity for students to sit together regardless of races, age,

    religious and beliefs. Furthermore, all the VIPs will be brought to visit the

    surroundings of Raja Dr Nazrin Shah Residential College as well as stalls

    and exhibition.

    2. Stalls and Exhibitions In these activities, our main purpose is to give students the opportunity to

    be involved in entrepreneurship and to build the creativity.

    3. Battle of the Band (BOTB) Group singing competition and music performance is one of the

    platforms to the music fans to compete strength of their music groups

    in the campus. The winners of this competition will bring prizes. This

    competition is also being entertained by the famous band in the music

    industry of the country.

    As for last year, during the event, organizer managed to invite afew

    well-known bands which are, Bunkface, IAmNeeta and also Sleeq.

    4. T Baton and Self-defense This exciting program is collaboration program with PDRM. There are

    variety of activities which is included crime demonstrations for

    instance robbery , snatch and others and a special talk which is mainly

    about self-defense that will be given earlier from the PDRM

    representative. 5. Speak Up The Louders To provide platforms for talented and committed orators in Raja Dr.

    Nazrin Shah Residential College to compete in University of Malayas inter-college orator competitions. The main objective is to expose

    academic style competition, orator competitions such as debate,

    public speaking and forum to students in Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah

    Residential College.

    THE LIST OF THE SUB-PROJECTS

  • 6. Cultural Night (Malam Citrawarna) This program is one of the subproject during FRENSTER12 2015 that will be

    organised by JKP Perpaduan dan Kerohanian Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah Residential

    College. This cultural night will implement the concept of the theme "Around

    the World which means that it will not only about all the races in Malaysia yet also all over the world.

    7. Royal Book of Record This project is an attempt to the Malaysia Book Of Record. The Frensters goal is to build largest University of Malaya logo by using bottle caps. This success will

    help to promote the university in a different medium and in the same time to be

    able to create integration and unity amongst the student.

    8. Closing Ceremony of FRENSTER The closing ceremony of Fiesta Rumah Terbuka Kolej Kediaman Raja Dr Nazrin

    Shah (FRENSTER12) will be presented many performances with theme of Minion.

    The climax of that night is the prize giving ceremony to all the winners.

    2.0 PROJECT INFORMATION

    2.1. OBJECTIVE

    To open the platform for the young generation hone artistic talent of singing and playing musical instruments in the team.

    Provides medium to the citizens of Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah Residential college to reduce stress as the students of the University of Malaya

    through this program.

    Help the students of University Malaya who are involved to make this project success to increase our knowledge ,maturity to work in the

    team and get experience to handle the event.

    2.2. PROJECT JUSTIFICATION

    Battle of The Band is one of the project that organized by JKP Arts and Creative, Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah Residential college University of

    Malaya.

    This project is a platform for those who are talented in singing

    and playing of musical instruments in the group to express their creativity

    through the proper channels. Hopefully, with the preparation of this

    project with the concept of competition to make participants seek to polish

    their talent, develop a competitive attitude and at the same time develop

    a healthy competition with other team. Next, the project is seen as a

    platform to improve the quality of the performance group in our country.

    This project also encourage the students of university Malaya to

    develop their leadership skills and teamwork skills. Hopefully this

    encourage students of university Malaya to enhance their potential skills to

    practice in the future.
