Master Plumbers Association of South Australia Incorporated is a not for profit Membership Association, Group Training
Organisation and Registered Training Organisation based in Thebarton, South Australia.
Most recently known as the Plumbing Industry Association, our name was reverted back to the original ‘Master
Plumbers Association’ in 2015 following Member and public feedback.
Established in 1908, Master Plumbers Association of South Australia Incorporated has been providing quality
Membership and Training Services to the plumbing industry for over 100 years.

Master Plumbers Association of South Australia Inc will promote and develop the on-going protection of
community, health and safety through the provision of quality plumbing services both state and federal,
and representation throughout South Australia.

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP
FULL MEMBERSHIP
Full Membership is designed for sole operators and plumbing companies. This Membership entitles
Members to all Benefits and Services. Upon joining, Full Members will receive a Membership Card,
Membership Certificate, a MPA Member baseball cap and MPA Member Vehicle stickers.
INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP
Individual Membership is designed for individuals who are employees of a plumbing company and
would like to keep up to date with current industry news. This Membership entitles Members to selected
Benefits and Services.
INDUSTRY MEMBERSHIP
Industry Membership is designed for organisations who are either directly involved with the Plumbing
Industry (eg. Plumbing Suppliers) or are involved in providing services to the Plumbing industry.
This Membership entitles Members to selected Benefits and Services.
APPRENTICE MEMBERSHIP
Apprentice Membership is open to any current Plumbing Apprentices. This Membership is ideal
for Apprentices who would like additional support and resources throughout their Apprenticeship.
This Membership entitles Members to selected Benefits and Services.

DRAINAGE PLUMBER INITIATIVE
Master Plumbers Association of SA Inc is currently involved in an initiative with SA Water for the mutual benefit of its customers and MPA Members. This initiative involves SA Water referring customers an approved MPA Member as a potential plumber for clearing/cleaning blockages that have been identified within SA Water’s consumer boundary. This is a fantastic initiative for our Members, and will also be helpful to the general public. Members who currently undertake Drain Cleaning work are welcome to apply for this initiative, as well as new Members, once approved. *Please note that Members must be approved for this initiative prior to being included in this referral service.

APPRENTICES
TRAINING
Master Plumbers Association of SA Inc offers a range of training programs to the industry, which have been developed and designed specifically for the industry. Members of Master Plumbers Association of SA Inc are provided with discounts to attend our Training Programs. Our Programs include:
Plumbing and Gas Roadshow (held at various regional and metropolitan locations around SA)
Commission and Maintain Hot and Heated Water Temperature Control Devices (TMV)
Restricted Electrical Licence for Plumbers
CPCCWHS1001 Whitecard Induction We also run two VET in Schools Programs (CPC10111 Certificate I in Construction and D2C Plumbing Plus: CPC32612 Certificate III in Roof Plumbing Skill Set) to help prepare Secondary School Students for a career in Plumbing.

HOW TO JOIN
ELIGIBILITY
FULL MEMBERSHIP
In order to join MPASA as a Full Member, the following eligibility requirements apply:
Must be a registered business and have a current ABN
Must hold a full and unrestricted Plumbing Licence (e.g Advanced Plumber)
Must hold current Public Liability Insurance for a minimum of $20 million.
Must agree to our abide by our Code of Ethics (included in the Member Pack)
INDUSTRY MEMBERSHIP
In order to join MPASA as an Industry Member, the following eligibility requirements apply:
Must be a registered business and have a current ABN
INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP
In order to join MPASA as an individual Member, the following eligibility requirements apply:
Must be an employee of a company, and not a trading company or business
APPRENTICE MEMBERSHIP
In order to join MPASA as an Apprentice Member, the following eligibility requirements apply:
Must be a current Plumbing Apprentice, undertaking Certificate III in Plumbing

Membership fees are based on estimated turnover and vary depending on the Member category, and number of employees. Please refer to the included Membership Application Form for the full fees and requirements to join as a Member of Master Plumbers Association of SA Inc.
