Introduction

Mr. Warm and Mr. Cold are best friends that love to travel the world and learn about the places weather and climate. Climates are weather that is made into groups over time. They love to meet new people that Mr. Warm and Mr. Cold meet on their travels.

Tundra Climate

Mr. Warm and Mr. Cold’s first stop is Pebble Alaska. This is Mr. Cold’s favorite stop. They learn from there tour guides that Pebble is a Tundra climate. Mr. Warm and Mr. Cold ask what a Tundra climate is, their tour guide tells them that it means it is cold and wet with lots of ice and snow.

Arid Climate

Mr. Warm and Mr. colds second stop is Mr. Warms favorite stop that they take, it is to Giza Egypt. They learn that Egypt is a Arid climate which means that it is dry. In Giza there are the pyramids Mr. Warm and Mr. Cold love looking at the pyramids but it is hot!

Humid Continental

Mr. Cold and Mr. Warm’s third stop is to Delhi India. It is a very hot place to visit. They learn from a friend that lives in Delhi that it is considered a Humid Continental climate. They learn that a humid continental climate means that it has warm summers and cold winters.

Mediterranean Climate

Mr. Warm and Mr. Cold’s next stop is Perth Australia. One of their friends named Jack lives in Perth. Jack tells Mr. Warm and Mr. Cold that Perth is a Mediterranean climate. A Mediterranean climate has two seasons summer and winter the summers are long and the winters aren't that cold.

Humid Subtropical

Mr. Cold and Mr. Warm’s next stop is in Florida. Mr. Warm and Mr. Cold’s friend Travis is in Jacksonville Florida so they decide to go and visit him. Travis tells Mr. Warm and Mr. Cold that Jacksonville is a Humid Subtropical climate.

Semiarid

Alagoas Brazil is Mr. Warm and Mr. Cold’s next stop. While in Alagoas they find their friend Mark. Mark tells the best friends that Alagoas is a semiarid climate. He also tells them that a semiarid climate is like a transition between dry and wetness so that means that it receives a lot of rain.

Subarctic Climate

Edmonton Canada is the friends next stop to visit. Mr. Warm and Mr. Cold’s friend Sally was visiting Edmonton and ran into Mr. Cold and Mr. Warm and explained that Edmonton is a Subarctic climate and that subarctic climates have LONG winters and SHORT summers.

Icecap climate

Antarctica is one of Mr. Cold’s favorite places to be. He loves how cold it is and seeing the emperor penguins. Mr. Cold asks one of the penguins about the climate. The penguin doesn’t understand the concept of weather so Mr. Cold explains that weather is how it feels around us at all times. So the penguin tells Mr. Cold and Mr. Warm that Antarctica is a Icecap climate. In a icecap climate summer it is always light and winters are always dark.

Highland Climate

Nepal is the friends last stop. Nepal is a Highland climate, Highland climates are areas that have high elevation. After climbing the high mountains in Nepal the best friends Mr. Warm and Mr. Cold say goodbye to each other and go back to there own home after having an amazing journey.
