In order for students to attend, they must meet the following requirements: (1) must have 50(+) dojo points, (2) cannot have more than 14 negative dojo points, and (3) ABSOLUTLEY NO NO NO NO office referrals. Important Dates Oct. 6th – 10th – Fall Break

Unit 2: Multiplication and Division

This week we will complete our unit on multiplication and division. Students will be learning that

multiplication is repeated addition. Students will learn that multiplication can be represented as repeated addition, adding groups of things, or in arrays.

Students will also learn that multiplication and division are inverse operations (they undo each other) because

they are in the same fact family.

We are already practicing for the 1st Math Challenge. The 1st Math Challenge will cover 90 multiplication facts.

Students must get 81 correct in 4 minutes. Please practice multiplication facts each night!

***HOW CAN I HELP AT HOME****GET, MAKE, & USE flash cards. It is a great

investment.

*Homework is assigned every night with the exception of Friday.

Look for your child’s homework assignments in his/her agenda.

•Please send a note with your child if you are changing their

transportation for that day. We must have the correct address and bus number/route (if known). Please include a phone number where you may be reached to verify the change. It is difficult to

handle a large volume of last minute calls regarding

transportation. Sending a note will help ensure your child makes

it to the correct location in the afternoon. If you must call to

make a transportation change, it must be done before 12:00.
