My Family

I absolutely adore my family because they mean the world to me. I have been married 4 years to Coach Ferrari, whom is a PE/Health teacher here at UGMS! We have three kids…Corbin (2 years old) and then our twins, Addelyn and Brayson (6 months old). I also have one dog, Kaiya.

My mom actually teaches at one of our rival schools…Ola Middle. She is actually my inspiration for becoming a teacher! My dad is train engineer and often blocks the railroad crossings here in Henry County. I also have one younger brother named Jarrett.

I was born in Macon, GA and lived there for 15 years. We endedup moving to Henry County my sophomore year in high school,so I have lived here now for almost 17 years. Even though wemoved, I graduated from Tattnall Square Academy in Macon asValedictorian of my class. I had the highest average of all my peersand had to give a huge speech at graduation. My brother actuallygraduated from Henry County High School. After high school, I knew Iwanted to go to a big university, and I was lucky enough to be acceptedinto the University of Georgia. I ended up graduating from UGA withmy Bachelors degree in Middle School Math and Science Education. (Ifyou look around, you will notice I am a huge DAWG fan! I was destinedto become a Georgia Bulldog!)

After teaching for five years, I decided to go back to schooland work towards getting my Masters degree. In 2007, Igraduated from Walden University with my degree inCurriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. This past year, Iattended classes for Lincoln Memorial University and finished my Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instructionthis summer. I am still contemplating if I will go back toschool to get my Doctorate degree. With all my schooling, Ihave been in school for almost 21 years of my life!

After college, I was lucky enough to start my career here atUnion Grove Middle School as a Wolverine. I have trulyfound my passion. This year will be my twelfth year ofteaching, and I am still loving every single second of it. Ihave taught both math and science, but I absolutely lovescience. I will also be teaching social studies this year.

I also coached basketball here at UGMS for seven years. Ihave coached 7th and 8th grade boys and 8th grade girls. I am notcoaching this year, but I hope to return to it soon. I am alsosponsoring Beta Club this year for 6th grade and will be helpingStudent Council.
