ExpectationsAtmosphere in classroom will be formal and

academic, focused on learning.

Class time runs from BELL to BELL.

Positive attitude is the key to success!No complaints or excuses please

Students and teacher will work hard and enjoy learning.

Notebook”Glue stickPencils with erasersWhiteboard markerWhiteboard eraserColored PencilsGraph PaperLined paper2” – Binder (AVID students only)

ProceduresA part of life!

Airports, restaurants, driving, etc.

So you know what to expect and what you should be doing at all times.

Entering Class

START OF PERIOD:Enter the room calmly and on time.Must be in your seat with materials out

when bell rings or you will be marked tardy.Backpack goes under your seat!Immediately and quietly begin warm-up

activity.

Getting AttentionWhen I need your attention I will

use a variety of strategies. Stop and listen!

When you need my attention raise your hand and wait quietly for my attention.If you need to say something.If you need to leave your chair.

Bathroom UseThe best time is during passing

period or lunch.Leave class to use the bathroom only

when truly necessary. You must use your bathroom pass.You must get permission from the

teacher without disrupting class.Only one person at a time will use

the bathroom.

Visitors

Come in from time to time.Continue with what you are doing.Probably won’t introduce.You have a job to do, they have a

job to do.

End of the PeriodThe bell does not dismiss you, the

teacher does. All students must be still and quiet.The room must be clean and neat. When dismissed, exit quietly.

RulesFollow directions the first time they

are given.Do not disrupt class.Be polite and courteous to others.

Stay seated and on task.

Do not throw or toss anything.

ConsequencesConsequences are the results of your choices

Positive choices (follow rules) = positive consequences Negative choices (break rules) = negative consequences

You make choices everyday. ClothesFoodActivities

You also make choices in the classroom everyday.

ConsequencesNegative choices result in

1st - Name on board and see me after class.2nd – Check next to name and call home.3rd – Second check next to name and trash pick

up.4th – Third check next to name and detention.
