REPORT CARDS Report Cards will be sent home tomorrow. I have enclosed a copy of your child’s conference goal and a copy of the secure goals they have passed in their math. I have also recorded their fluency level in the reading section. The fluency benchmark is 90. An example of a score would be 120/90. That means your child has read 120 words and the Dibels passing benchmark is 90.

SCIENCE/SOCIAL STUDIES Our science test will be this Wednesday. Students will take home a study guide and a list of vocabulary words tomorrow. Take time to review these two papers with your child to help him/her successfully take the test. When the students come back from the break they will begin a social studies unit on geography.

NOTE FROM MRS. MOORE Next week Tuesday, my daughter Nicole and her husband David will be coming to spend Christmas with us. They are flying in from Portland, Oregon. My oldest son Derek will be coming in on Thursday. I will be taking off next week Tuesday and Thursday so that I can spend time with them. They will be leaving Christmas morning and this will be our first Christmas we have been together in four years. I can’t wait especially since our youngest son Nathan and his wife Emily just had our first granddaughter the day before Thanksgiving. Thank you for understanding my absences next week. Some days I wish I could go back into time and have my own children in fourth grade. I know there are days that seem exhausting and overwhelming when the children are young. However, this time only comes around once. I hope you will enjoy every second of it while you can.

As always, I consider it an honor to teach your children. They are a delight to be around and come up with some interesting ideas that make me smile. If I don’t see some of you next week for the party, have a wonderful holiday with friends and family.
