Description:
My team at Customer 1st Marketing is proud to work with Final Salute, Inc. and its Ms. Veteran America competition. We have two goals. The first is to help the Final Salute mission to become a national cause. Our second goal is to get sponsors for its largest fundraiser and awareness campaign, the Ms. Veteran America competition, a 2013 Stevie Business Award for Best Event. We are contacting you today because of your recognition as one of Washington DC’s Top Woman Owned Businesses. I know we, as women, support each other. But, as a business owner I also recognize a great business opportunity as well. The Ms. Veteran America competition is a way to support other women and an 5 star marketing opportunity. When you become a sponsor, not only will you and your company support a mission that is unfortunately needed, but you will get your brand in front of 1000+ attendees over the Columbus Day Weekend. What is the mission of Final Salute, Inc.? Started in 2010 by Jaspen “Jas” Boothe, Final Salute’s mission is to provide safe and suitable housing for every woman veteran and their children. Why is this mission necessary? There are over 55,000 homeless woman veterans on the streets of the United States today. Yes, 55,000 women. Yes, it’s sad to have any of our military on the street but to have our women that are also, wives, mothers, sisters, and daughters living on the street after serving in our nation's military is a shame. The Ms. Veteran America competition takes this issue and transforms it into an empowering, wonderful and beautiful event for our women veterans that walk across the stage.
