Summer Camps
Engineering for KidsLEGO® Robotics Summer Olympics - During the LEGO® Robotics Olympics camp, students design and program robots to compete in simulated Olympic events such as a sprinting in a race, throwing a basketball, and shooting a puck into a hockey goal.
Electronic Game Design: Platform Games - A platform game (or platformer) is a video game unique in that the player must navigate to the end of each level by means of a series of platforms. Platform games are side scrolling adventure games where the goal is to leap your way across several platforms and reach the goal at the end. These platforms may either be suspended above the ground or placed at ground level. The game is two-dimensional and is controlled from the third-person point of view. The platformer is also complicated by the presence of enemies dispersed throughout the level that the player must defeat. The most famous example of a platform game is the Mario franchise.Just about every child has helped a plumber in a red jumpsuit and his brother defeat their enemies in a two dimensional world. Students will get to take their characters on an adventure through whatever world they can imagine.

Hickory Hill Day Camp“Your imagination is your destination.”Hickory Hill Day Camp provides a summer program option where families have the opportunity to creatively plan their child’s camp experience at an affordable price! Micheaux’s Learning CenterMathemagic CampYou will be amazed how fun math can be at Mathemagic Camp. Work your magic this week as we challenge each other in games and tricks to sharpen our math skills. The Mathemagic program teaches problem solving, focusing, concentration, and thinking outside of the box. This program teaches the utilization of both parts of the brain to function at the same time while memorizing, processing, and sorting information. Start the new year off right by getting fit and healthy.We offer a variety of cardiovascular & weight training options. We offer treadmills, ellipticals, a step up machine, and bicycles.Our free weights range from 1lb. to 75 lb.; but we also have weight machines that can and will target every body part that you are aiming to hit - from traps to calves.Come by today to get your memberships, and join our MJCC family.Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
