Principal’s Report
Our Presentation Night at Mount Olive Community Hall was wonderful! The behaviour of the students was very impressive and having this event in the hall meant we could all share in the joy as we could hear the presentations clearly.
The play, performed by students in Years 5 and 6, was very enjoyable and a great credit to the children. The rest of the school, including the choir, presented a terrific dance, showcasing their talents and skills.
Thank you to the P&C who coordinated the supper and provided a book for each child. Wow, how amazing is the School Magazine! Thanks Lyndal Robinson!
Many thanks also to the teaching and non-teaching staff who worked tirelessly to make this a successful event. Congratulations to the families of our students who must be so proud of their successes!
The children who were recognised as the major award winners should also be very proud of their achievements. In summary:
Creative and Performing Arts Award
Congratulations to Ella Lucas who shines with any task involving creativity and fine art skills.
Citizenship Award
Congratulations to Hayley Wilkinson who always demonstrates integrity and reliability.

Thank You
This will be the last newsletter for 2018. For me, a highlight
of Mt Pleasant Public School is the wonderful commitment
and support shown by our families. Whenever we have
extra curricula activities so many people step up to help, and
help each other out, for the benefit of all children. The
amazing efforts of the school’s P&C, led by Carman
Shoemark and the P&C executive, enrich the learning and
teaching environment of our school.
Many thanks for a busy and enjoyable year to the teaching
staff; Mrs Harris, Mrs Linsley, Mrs Newton, Mrs Smith and
Mrs Gray. On Wednesday we sent home the comprehensive
Semester 2 school report. If parents and caregivers have any
questions or concerns about the progress of their children,
please contact your child’s teacher.
A huge debt of gratitude goes out to the non-teaching staff;
Mrs Bower, Mrs Griffiths, Mrs Faustini, Mr Marshall, Mrs
Turner, Mrs Anderson and Mrs Holz.
As we undertake the process to plan a wide range of
educational opportunities for your children in 2019, we
pride ourselves in creating a school culture where each
student is known, valued and cared for in a nurturing
educational setting. Mrs Faustini will be ringing families to
conduct our annual school evaluation and I hope you can
find a few minutes to engage in this process. We look
forward to 2019, ‘educating our students for a changing
tomorrow’; in the dynamic and happy educational
community that is Mt Pleasant Public School.
Have a safe and happy holiday time .
Congratulations to the Citizenship and
Merit Award winners
