Wire type

• AuW wire - 25 m (NuMI and ecool), 75 m in beamlines

Pitch: 125 m (wire wound at 250 m on both side of ceramic board

and offset by 125 m), 250, 500 m

• BeCu wire - capability from 25 m to 600 m as in old swics

• Ti strips - University of Texas multiwires use 5 m thick material, 0.2 mm wide.

Pitch 0.5 mm (both side of board), 1 mm.

MTA PROFILE MONITOR REVIEWElectronics

• AD scanner - 96 channel integrator (Al Franck)

• Integration time from 5 msec - 6.5 sec

• Dynamic range: E10 up

• 16 bit ADC

• Noise 0.2% of full scale

• Calibration feature

• Scanner II - Z-80 based processor. Has video output. Will require software work to interface to computer.
