  • PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES:

    PEO1: Showcased the ability to apply their knowledge and skills for a

    successful career in diverse domains viz., industry/technical, research and

    higher education/academia, entrepreneurial pursuit and consulting firms with

    creativity, commitment and social consciousness.

    PEO2: Pursuing research and innovation and be able to provide industrial

    solutions for engineering and technical problems.

    PEO3: Exhibit professionalism, communication skill, ethical attitude, team

    spirit, multidisciplinary approach and pursue lifelong learning to achieve

    career and organizational goals.

  • PROGRAMME LEARNING OUTCOMES:

    PO1: Students are able to apply the knowledge to deal with interrelated

    activities and operations involving manufacturing design, processes and

    systems, materials selection, production management, quality engineering

    and management, and development of methods for integrating facilities and

    systems by which products may be manufactured economically.

    PO2: Students are able to apply the knowledge in the areas of information

    systems and technology, manufacturing systems and technology, human

    factors engineering, management science and operations research.

    PO3: Students are able to apply the knowledge of designing, improvement

    and installation of integrated systems of people, material, equipment,

    information and energy which are efficient, effective as well as robust.

    PO4: Students are able to demonstrate an ability to apply principles of

    optimization and statistics to model, analyze and solve real life problem.

    PO5: An ability to conduct standard tests and measurements; to design,

    conduct, analyze, and interpret experiments; and to apply experimental

    results to improve processes.

    PO6: An ability to create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources,

    and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modeling, to

    complex engineering activities, with an understanding of the limitations.

  • PO7: Students are able to promote the latest development of intellectual

    property by publishing articles in Journals, conferences proceedings and

    patents in the area of Production & Industrial Engineering to provide

    technical assistance to the industry.

    PO8: An ability to apply reasoning informed by contextual knowledge to

    assess societal, health, environmental, safety, legal, ethical and cultural

    issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to professional

    engineering practice and solution to complex engineering problems.

    PO9: An ability to communicate effectively, orally as well as in writing on

    complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with

    society at large, such as being able to comprehend and write effective reports

    and design documentations, make effective presentations, and give and

    receive clear instructions.

    PO10: An ability to Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the

    engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work,

    as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in

    multidisciplinary environments.

    PO11: An ability to recognize importance of, and pursue lifelong learning in

    the broader context of innovation and technological developments with a

    commitment to quality, timeliness and continuous improvement.

    PO12: An ability to become innovators, entrepreneurs to address social,

    technical and business challenges.

  • PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

    PSEO1: Be employed in jobs related to designing, modeling, analyzing, and

    managing modern complex systems, implementing and improving systems in

    manufacturing at local, regional, national and global levels.

    PSEO2: Have engaged in life-long learning, such as graduate studies and

    research, certification from professional organizations, Fundamentals of

    Engineering certification, or active participation in professional

    societies/activities.

    PROGRAMME SPECIFIC LEARNING OUTCOMES:

    PSO1: Students are able to apply IE Knowledge/Skills in designing, modeling,

    optimization, analysis, and evaluation of integrated systems of people

    technology, and information.

    PSO2: Students are able to apply Manufacturing Engineering

    Knowledge/Skills in materials and manufacturing processes, process,

    assembly, and product engineering, manufacturing competitiveness, and

    manufacturing systems design.
