Within the Technical Operations WebSuite manage/m®, the module m/techlog documents and processes technical findings. Thus, m/techlog is the basis for all technical evaluations in the web-assisted maintenance procedure for Lufthansa Technik’s MRO customers.

Defect reports prepared by the cockpit crew (Pilot Reports – Pireps) or maintenance personnel (Maintenance Reports – Mareps) are directly fed into the relevant manage/m modules. The ensuing recti-fication process is monitored and controlled via the web. The mod-ule handles the entire management function, from collecting and transmitting defect reports, through the documentation of remedial measures, to the issue of defect-corrected release notes.

For example, if a fault occurs repeatedly, an Action Order (A/O) can be entered into the system, demanding the defect to be rectified at the next station. m/techlog also allows a “deferred item” to be created in the system and automatically transfers the corresponding information to the tracking and scheduling system, an integrated part of manage/m®.
