IF YOU MUST USE YOUR STRAIGHTENING IRONS IN THE BATHROOM, INSTALL A GFCI* NOW!

Your local electrician can help you decide which type is best for you -- a portable unit that plugs into theelectrical outlet or a permanent unit installed by your electrician. The National Electrical Code nowrequires GFCI’s in bathrooms, garages, and outdoor outlets of all new homes.

WHY DO YOU NEED A GFCI?

Electricity and water don’t mix. If your straightening iron falls in water while it’s plugged in, the electric shock can killyou… even if the switch is “off.”A regular fuse or circuit breaker won’t protect you under these circumstances. A GFCI offers you fargreater protection.

A GFCI can save your life! Compared to that, the price is small! Don’t wait… install one now!*GFCI is a sensitive device which reacts immediately to a small electric current leak by stopping the electricity flow.

Thank you for purchasing the California Beauty® Steam Styler™, the new multi-purpose professional

hair iron with a unique Steam-mist technology.

The Steam-mist technology provides the right amount of steam to help protect your hair and improve

the straightening or curling effect. Variable heat control allows you to choose the temperature that’s

appropriate for your hair. The on-off switch is conveniently placed so the unit cannot be switched on by

accident. The high quality plates move smoothly over your hair and the spring-loaded handle allows you to

choose exactly how much pressure you need in order to style your hair. The tips of the flat and waved

plates can be pinched together for creative detailing and the irons can be used to create volume and the

latest hairstyles from flips to bobs to straight.

9. StorageUnplug the CB Steam Styler™ and let it cool off before storing. If storing for long time, empty water tank. Place CB Steam Styler™ and all accessories back into the box and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. NOTE: Avoid any contact between the hot ceramic plates and the power cord. Do not wrap cord around the appliance. Use the pouch (optional item) provided to store CB Steam Styler™,plates and accessories.

Cleaning Mineral Deposits:One common problem with all steamers is mineral deposit caused by a high mineral content in many municipal water supplier.Mineral residue inside of the internal pipes and heater can cause intermittent steaming or, in some cases no steaming at all.NOTE: To reduce or eliminate the occurrence of mineral deposit, we recommend the use of de-mineralized or distilled water. However regular tap water can also be used. For Thick Hair:Part the hair into four 1 or 2-inch (2.5-5 cm) sections. Start flat ironing each section of the hair from the nape or back of the

neck and move towards the front. This will give you more control.

For an Evening Look:Use the double plate and section the hair into 2 large sections. Start at the nape or back of the neck and roll the hair under

steaming as you go. Hold it for a couple of seconds at the end, this allows for a good strong hold.

Resistant / Curly Hair:Part the hair into four 1 or 2-inch (2.5-5 cm) sections; pull the comb through as you flat iron. This will help straighten the hair out

more.

For Coarse / Thick HairBe sure to use smaller sections.
