Intermediate barriers (V28) are symmetrical in cross-section and can be used for either verge of central reserve applications, by turning them upside as shown below. Barriers should be aligned according to the direction of the traffic flow, using the directional arrow cast in the face for orientation.
Termination units are handed, being specific to Verge Applications (V29) or Central Reserve Applications (V30). Units are connected together at the scarf joint, using M24 diameter high-tensile bolts. Units can also be fixed to the carriageway if required, by use of anchor plates bolted to the underside of the barriers.

Installation
The following are just a small sample of the myriad of uses for Multibloc TVCB’s: To create a safe working area for your workforce, protected from vehicles travelling next to the site. To protect the travelling public from roadside and site hazards. To provide safe and effective separation between opposing traffic streams in contraflows, thereby pre-venting “crossover” accidents, whilst maximising available carriageway width due to low deflections. To prevent unauthorised vehicular access to site compounds, forecourts, car parks, fields or any other property. To provide temporary flood defence, or a temporary water-retaining structure (when used with other items). To provide temporary aggregate bays or other storage areas.
To provide direction and protection for pedestrians or light vehicles in quarries or other industrial com-plexes. To provide kentledge or counterweight for scaffolding, piling rigs or other such structures. To provide security and defence against vehicle-borne attacks, ram raiders, etc. When used with Hardstaff Anti-Climb Security Fenc-ing, can provide a high security, easily moved temporary perimeter (shown below).
We also supply Maxibloc Temporary Higher Vertical Concrete Barriers (THVCB) which provide H4a (very high containment) protection.
