Objective

• To get familiar with different cultures and economics.– Personal definition of acculturation:

To be able to interpret behaviour or rituals from other people and to transfer it to your “culture”. Adapt to a different environment.

– Acculturation is important to be able to focus on our academic performance.

• Encountered (general) problems: – Time management– Directions and Transportations– Languages– Food

How to Solve?

• Food and Language (Inscribed in)?– Need to adapt preferences to the available products

• Different products • Different prices compared to our hometown• Dutch descriptions, wich we cannot understand

• We derive a lot of methods to solve the problems:– Maps (transportation, markets, banks)– Apps– A 5-minute guide book– “How-not-to-Starve Guide”

Reflections

• Concordantly we agreed that the most essential problem is “how to get ‘the right’ food without understanding the Dutch language”

• Divinding tasks: – Taking pictures of similar food– Disigning the layout– Making the presentation
