The modular princpleModularMULTISECsoftwarecomponentsmakecomplexsystemstransparent,flexible,future-proofandupgradeable.Themodularideaalsoarisesfromitsuniquestand-alonehandlingphilosophy:Productindependentoperationallowsintegrati-onofthirdsupplierproductswithoutconfrontingtheoperatorwithtechnicalspecialitiesofdifferentsuppliers.

Thehybridsystemprocessesanalogcamerasignalsaswellasdigitalstreamsusingdifferentcompres-sionmethods.This,ofcourse,includesrecording,viewingstation,alarmprocessing,andsitemap.

Management system: MULTISEC LXThevideoalarmmanagementMULTISEC LXisthemasterofthedigitalvideoplatformcoordinatingthedistributedvideomanagementsystem.Inaddi-tion,thecontrolcentremanagesserveraccessand

allrecordings.Finally,MULTISEC LXalsoservesasalarmmanagementsystemandgatewaytothird-par-tysystems(i.e.accesscontroll,firealarmandintru-siondetection).Duetoitsdistributedconfigurationthewholesystemachievesthehighestdegreeinreliabilityandscalability.

Navigationssystem: MULTISEC MS4GUIMULTISEC MS4GUIprovidesacentralworkstationwithgraphicuserinterface(GUI)consistingoflay-outandnavigationareawithvideowindows.Incaseofaneventlivestreamandalarm-drivencamerarecordingautomaticallyshowupinthenavigationareaavoidingtime-consumingsearchfortherequiredcamera.Nowtheoperatorhasanimmedia-teoverviewabouttheoccurringeventanditshistory.

Thevectorizedlayoutdisplaysthemonitoredareaandallcameras.Selectingthepoint-of-interest

allowstheoperator3D-controlofthecamerasdirectlyinthelayout.Nowthesystemchoosesthebestcamera(s)anddirectsthemtothetargetarea–thecamerarotationcanbetrackedonthelayout.

Alarmscanbevisualizedwithfreelyconfigurablealarmfields.Configurablesymbolsallowplainnavigationwithinthelayoutandoperationofadditionalfeatures.

MULTISEC MS4GUI also allowsvideodisplayonmorethanonemonitorforrealizationofsmallmonitorwalls.

Server/RecorderMULTISEC Recorderisnotonlyencoderandstrea-mer,butalsoarecoderprovidinglivestreamsandpaststreamsinparallel(=researchstreamsfromthememory).

User and alarm management with alarm log and configurable alarm fields in the sitemapTheGUIconsistsofthesitemapandanavigati-onareawithvideowindows.Inthecaseofanevent,thenavigationareasimultaneouslyshowsthelivestreamaswellastheareawherethealarmwastriggered.Thereisnoneedforatime-consumingsearchforthecorrespondingcamera.Theoperatorcan
