Free Dress Day Wednesday 12th
December
Due to students being required to wear their
uniform on Wednesday night for Presentation Night,
they are invited to wear free dress on Wednesday.
As there is an extra Fun Fitness lesson with
Sam on this day – students MUST be dressed in
clothes that are appropriate to play sport in
including a hat and sport shoes. No sleeveless
tops, thongs, sandals or short skirts or shorts are to
be worn.
SOURCE Water and Three Blue Ducks
Restaurant
We have been gifted 10 hydropanels that will
supply a drought resilient supply of SOURCE
drinking water for our school, families and
community. The 10-hydropanel SOURCE array was
donated by Three Blue Ducks, Byron Bay and will
produce:
- 3,000 standard bottles of water per month
- Offset the equivalent of 540,000 single-use plastic bottles in its 15 year lifetime - The array has a payback period of 2.5 years versus trucking bottled water The hydropanels use a combination of materials, science, thermodynamics and controls technology to extract water from the air. The water is stored in a reservoir integrated in the hydropanel and pumped to a dispenser. Bring in your water bottles and fill them up – this is a gift to the community, not just the school. Thank you Three Blue Ducks and Zero Mass Water. K-4 Excursion to Quirindi Miniature Train and Jump Up
Thank you to Julie Edmonds for her assistance in organising this excursion for the K-4 students and to the P&C for providing the bus. Thank you also to the teachers for their supervision and to Jump Up and Quirindi Miniature Train for ensuring our students enjoyed their day out. Thanks must also go to our students who are a pleasure to take out into the community.

Week 8 in K/1
During InvigorArt last week, students enjoyed trying
some new art methods and techniques. It was lovely to
see so many students stepping out of their comfort
zones and having a go.
K/1 have been busy practising their sweet singing for

see the students still enjoying learning and being proud
of their efforts and achievements.

K-4 Excursion
Wow! What a fantastic day we had on our K-4
excursion!
We started the day travelling to Quirindi Rural Heritage
Village and Miniature Railway. All aboard.... we had
great fun enjoying a train ride then off to explore the
museum.
After a quick bite to eat, we boarded the bus and
headed to Tamworth “Jump Up Trampoline Zone.” We
explored all the different trampolining techniques and
then put them into practise.
We learned that 10 minutes on a trampoline jumping
is equal to half an hour of running!! After our time
was up... we had lunch then boarded the bus back to
school. The bus was full of very tired sleepy heads!

5/6
5/6 have had a relaxing and mindful week at school,
making Christmas decorations to display on our
windows, drawing and making Christmas cards and
completing wordpuzzles and find–a-words. We are
also working on a 1000 piece puzzle. It is wonderful
to see the children focused and working together on
a project.
