Museum of Races (cause we’re gonna need ‘um) are the ideas of the inevitable; soon we will all be rendered as generic, cultureless, thematic, cute and possibly clean cardboard clones. Our form will finally balance our function. It will be so easy and convient. There will be no more materials to choose from, there will be no wars or debt. It will be the end of Capitalism, Communism, the end of Racism, the end of Humans.

We interpret program because it already exists. We do not have to think that hard, we are making progress through the sharing of information, we are learning from one another. Progress, technology, hygiene makes us happy. Reality is viral sprawl without form. Global solutions to anything (esp. architecture) are rendered as “cool”, but in actuality they are boring and generic since they lack culture. The face of the world has yet to be seen or has it?

Globalism is our reality and it will run its course just as other movements have before it. The ideas of borderless cities, countries ect are already taking place. We are the generation of technological advance-ments; we really will never know who we are really chatting with (on-line). Street conversations have ended, the world has been suckered with fear and this fear will chokehold us until we all assimilate.

Are we already clones or have we still got some more fight in us? Soon we will be without face, without color, without materials, without race, without reference, identity, form, curiosity. Soon we will all talk the same language, sail the same seas, eat the same food, dress in the same clothes, drink the same liquid. There will be no need for variation or exploration. We simply will no longer need it; we will all be the same. We will be the Junk Space. We will have one type of everything, it just makes sense, because it is a global solution. We will have one fabric, one liquid, one size, one shape, one sex, one love, one religion, one thought. We will be perfect! Beautiful and Perfect!

We are a THIN CITY and we like it that way. It is just easier to write the same thing, do the same lessons, read the same books, go to the same places. It is just easier. We are the ’disposable world” and we are all in this shit together. Now that all this stuff about boarders, boundaries, limitation, resources, overpopulation and culture have been dealt with (since the inevitable is to assimilate) how do we pick up the pieces and evolve again? What will lead the new Revolution? What will be the reasons for Revolution? What will the word even mean?

Lets us assume a few people got together and did a little planning before this evitable situation which has rendered us all generic and without culture or face...we like to call this part the Museum of Races.

2 by 2. Are the lessons of Noah and his Arc going to save us again? Now that we are all the same and very bored, lets talk about change. Oh, you think we are not a THIN CITY, try this...Go to Barcelona, walk to Las Ramblas and yell out, “how many of you are from Barcelona or even Spain” the crowd will mutter and only a few (if lucky) will be able to honestly say that they are. You see, we are not who we are labeled anymore we global, and unlike McDonald’s, WE ARE NOT LOVING IT! People from America, are not. People in Italy are no longer Italian, our products are made in India and China, soon we will have to share Mexico like we share America with the Mexicans. Now lets talk about change...

To make sure these ideas never reach their full potential, we must collect 2 of every race from around the globe and preserve them like frozen peas. 2 white, 2 black, 2 Hispanic, 2 Chinese, 2 Hawaiian, 2 Germans, 2 German American ect. We must store these humans in containers; and preserve them for future genera-tions of clones to look at and poke fun at. We will put them in museums like taxidermy. They will be on display, in a world of pattern, symmetry and monogamy these humans will be the only texture in the world, if it is still a world. We must keep them for they contain DNA strains that will never be seen again. We preserve the documentation of history and culture; it will be the only hope for the revitalization of the human races. It will be the only way we will know anything about culture and heritage, the clones will in turn look back to the past for information. The internet will no longer be good enough; it will no longer be “cool”. It will be generic and boring; these clones will look to the past in hopes of creating a dialog on the street. They will inevitably want to be rendered different and context must drive curiosity.

These ideas of culture and context have a direct relationship to architecture. Currently as seen through the ‘isms’ we select from a few ideas and assimilate them accordingly. We are already cloning architecture and soon we will search for new ideas to break free from the ties that bind our ideas and thought. The brain-washing will end, our architecture will break the molds of our current conditions and we will begin to embrace our differences and cultures and see that it is all we have and all we our. The forms of the new will shadow the people we are, the spaces we create will be specific again or we will cash in all of our chips and remain faceless.
