"Museums Tell Me They Hate Me" collects the wonderful phrases American art museums have developed to let you, their once and future intern, know that you won't be getting paid. Screen-caps of 50 art museums' variously tactful, indirect, and, at times, brutal choice of words - "non-compensatory," "without stipend," "generally carries no wages," "UNPAID," - show that there's a million ways to say "I hate you." But don't forget - all interns receive a 10% discount at the museum café!
