Now here I go again, I see the crystal visions. I keep my visions to myself.

It’s only me who wants to wrap around your dreams

And have you any dreams you’d like to sell?

Dreams of loneliness, like a heartbeat, drives you mad

In the stillness of remembering what you had and what you lost

Delta Rain Lyrics by William Topley

Thunder’s up and the real live wires are talking

Set me straight as the rain falls on New Orleans

Silver bells ring for treaties made by starlight

For Southern girls and their faces lit by fire-flies

Chorus:

And through the gutters there will be water

Running wilder than sea and as the rain comes

Down a thousand circles fade like you and me

They call us lovers because our bony legs are tied

Once more to seed, but there ain’t nothing I won’t risk

To set this bird of love fly free

Shake your hair out and come and dance with me

We are lonely with no good need to be

Where the river grows wide to kiss the sea

Floods the delta and lover’s eyes can see

Tonight is hot and there’s no wind from the ocean

I hear the drums as they bang across the water

Voodoo bells ring for treaties made by starlight

Forgotten gold and greed and fear at midnight

Chorus

Do you remember how we held each other tight in sorrow

Does it haunt you still?

And in a single raindrop I can see all our tomorrows

Baby, can’t you too?

Shake your hair out and come and dance with me

We are lonely with no good need to be

Where the river grows wide to kiss the sea

(she keeps rolling my life’s still in misery)

Floods the delta and lover’s eyes can see

Saving Grace by Tom Petty

intro: EEI’m passing sleeping cities, fading by degrees,Not believing all I see to be so

EI’m fly’in over backyards, country homes and ranchesWatching life between the branches below AAnd it’s hard to say, who you are these days, but you run on anyway EDon’t you baby? G D E EYou keep running for another place To find that saving grace

EI’m moving on alone, over ground that no one ownsPast statues that atone for my sinsThere’s a guard on every door and a drink on every floorOverflowing with a thousand amens

You came unwanted and cleverly disguised

You left us haunted, utterly compromised.

She didn’t deserve the fate you gave her

You made us give our all to save her

I’m so tired of you hanging around here

I wish you’d crawl away and die

I will fight to the bitter end to beat you

I won’t let you see me cry.

Now the chords. There are two guitars. One plays these chords inopen position, and the shapes are as such:

Am Am7sus4 Fmaj7 G CE-0-----3--------0-----3-----0--B-1-----3--------1-----3-----1--G-2-----2--------2-----0-----0--D-2-----2--------3-----0-----2--A-0-----0--------------2-----3--E----------------------3--------

The other guitar is capoed up on the 5th fret, and the chord formsare these (assuming that we treat the 5th fret as the nut):

Am Am7sus4 Fmaj7 G CE-0-----0--------0-----0-----3--B-0-----3--------0-----3-----3--G-0-----2--------0-----2-----0--D-2-----0--------2-----0-----0--A-2-----2--------3-----------2--E-0-----0--------------------3--

If you plan on playing this with only one guitar, I stronglyrecommend using the second set of chords, as the high capoed notesring out very nicely and sound more like the whole song in general.

My Immortal

I’m so tired of being here, suppressed by all my childish fears.

And if you have to leave, I wish that you would just leave.

Your presence still lingers here, and it won’t leave me alone.

These words won’t seem to heal, this pain is just to real, there’s just too much that time cannot erase.

When you cried, I’d wipe away all of your tears,

When you’d scream I’d fight away all of your fears,

I held your hand through all of these years.

You still have………………….. All of me

You used to captivate me, by your resonating light. Now I’m bound by the love you left behind.

Your face it haunts, my wants, prayers and dreams.

Your voice, it chased away, all the sanity in me.

These words won’t seem to heal, this pain is just to real, there’s just too much that time cannot erase.

When you cried, I’d wipe away all of your tears,

When you screamed I’d fight away all of your fears,

I held your hand through all of these years.

You still have………………….. All of me/I’ve tried so hard to tell myself that you’re gone.

Page 22: Music for Band

But though you’re still with me, I’ve been alone all along.

When you cried, I wiped away all of your tears,

When you’d scream I’d fight away all of your fears,

I held your hand through all of these years.

You still have………………….. All of me

Wild Wood Weed

The wildwood flower grew wild on the farm, and we never knowed what it was called. Some said it was a flower and some said it was a weed, I never gave it much thought. One day I was out there talking to my brother, reached down for a weed to chew on,

Things got fuzzy and things got blurry, and then everything was gone!Didn't know what happened, but I knew it beat the hell out of sniffin' burlap.I come to and my brother was there, and he said, What's wrong with your eyes?I said, I don't know, I was chewing on that weed. He said let me give it a try.

We spent the rest of that day and most of that night trying to find my brother, Bill.Caught up with him, 'bout six o'clock the next morning, naked, swinging on the wind mill!He said he flew up there. I had to fly up there and bring him down, he was about half crazy.

The very next day we picked a bunch of them weeds, and put 'em in the sun to dry. Then we mashed 'em up and chopped 'em up and put 'em in the corncob pipe.Smokin' that wildwood flower got to be a habit. We didn't see no harmWe thought it was kind of handy to take a trip and never leave the farm.

Well all good things gotta come to an end and it's the same with the wildwood weed.

Page 117: Music for Band

One day this feller from Washington came by and as he spied it he turned white as a sheet. Then they dug and they burned and they burned and they dug and they killed all our cute little weeds. Then they drove away. We just smiled and waved - sittin' there on that sack of seeds!

Y'all come back now, hear?

What now my love now that it’s over. I feel the world closing in on me.

Here come the stars tumbling around me. There’s the sky, where the sea should be.

What now my love, now that you’re gone. I’d be a fool to go on and on.

Wicked Game Chris Isaak, from _Heart-Shaped_World_

transcription by [email protected] (patrick m. ryan)(formerly [email protected])

Notes:This song sounds great on a Strat. I figured out 99%

of this song myself and confirmed my interpretation when Isaw Chris Isaak on 'Saturday Night Live'.

There are really two guitars in this tune. Isaak isstrumming the rhythm on his acoustic while his lead guitaristdoes the melody work. Isaak plays the Bm A E progressionthrough most of the song.

In my notation, a row of tildes (~) means 'wiggle the

tremelo bar'. '\' means slide down and '/' means slide up.The nice tremelo work along with a lot of reverb give thissong most of its atmosphere.

The intro riff is hard to notate. Basically, the sequenceon the B string is: pick open string (B), bend tremelo down 1/2 step,hammer-on 7th fret (F#), release tremelo, pick 7th fret (F#), slidedown to open string.

lyrics:

We were on fireNo one could save me but you.Strange what desire make foolish people doI never dreamed that I'd meet somebody like youI never dreamed that I'd lose somebody like you

No, I don't want to fall in love [This girl is only gonna break your heart]No, I don't want to fall in love [This girl is only gonna break your heart]With youWith you

What a wicked game to playTo make me feel this wayWhat a wicked thing to doTo let me dream of youWhat a wicked thing to sayYou never felt this way

What a wicked thing to doTo make me dream of you

And I wanna fall in love [This girl is only gonna break your heart]And I don't want to fall in love [This girl is only gonna break your heart]

World was on fireNo one could save me but youStrange what desire make foolish people doI never dreamed that I'd love somebody like youI never dreamed that I'd lose somebody like you

And I wanna fall in love [This girl is only gonna break your heart]And I wanna fall in love [This girl is only gonna break your heart]With youWith you

Nobody loves no one

The Tiffany Suite

Flute and guitar instrumental, full verse Electric 23, VB 27, Key D

Every day was like another, put one foot in front of the other

Invite some friends to wash my blues away.

Don’t look up, just stay in line. Don’t rock the boat, keep markin’ time.

Takin’ it nice and easy was my plan, pretending I was such a happy man.

As those I cared for breathed their last, I realized the time had past.

I didn’t know as you walked through my door.

That you would turn my world around, sweep my feet right from the ground.

You broke through and led me by the hand and showed me how to be a happy man. Pick! Instrumental, faster and louder

The scent of flowers fill the air, music flows without a care,

The sky has never been so blue before.

Butterflies have much more meaning, words of love are worth repeating.

You broke through and led me by the hand and showed me how to be a happy man.

You showed me how to be a happy man.

(Slow) You showed me, how to be, a happy man, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh.

Our eyes began to see when we were childrenToo young to know the meaning

Of the magic we were feelingDown deep inside

Gazing blindly at the starsthinking all the world was ours.

Our love was just a flowerBloom in Spring

Wilt in FallThought I heard you call

But you're not really there

This love ain't meant for childrenReach too quickly for the sun

Love will soon fade away

We were living in a fairytaleLiving happily ever after

In our land of dreams and laughterTo the day we die

We didn't know that childish schemesOften end in broken dreams

Our love was just a sunsetSo colorful and bright

But then it faded into nightJust like the dreams we sharedI reach out to touch your hair

But you're not really there

This love ain't meant for childrenReach too quickly for the sun

Love will soon fade away

My love for you today would fill the oceansWhy must I be denied

If only you were by my sideI know you'd never leave

I often wonder if you knowThis love inside of me still grows

Our love was like a mountainRising so majestically

But it crumbled to the seaJust like the plans we madeI thought I heard you callI can't believe she's there

This love ain't meant for childrenNow that she and I have grown

Love is here to stay...
