Q1. In What ways does your Music Magazine

use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real music magazines?

Color Scheme The color scheme of my magazine cover is based

on black and red background which makes

the image in the center stand out while in the

Billboard and Q Magazine the images are too mixed in the background and so they divert the readers

attention.

Cover ImageThe Cover Image is round about the same type as in

Billboard And Q Magazine as it shows that the image

attracts the whole attention on its audience and it also

potray’s the character of the artist

Mast HeadMy Heading of the

cover page is positioned at the top

centre of the page which looks alike the

one on Billboard. Q on the other hand has placed its masthead completely across on

the top left side of the page.Barcode

I have given the barcode on the extreme left hand side corner so

that it generates as less of attention as pssible where as Billboard and Q both have not

presented the barcode,

Cover StoryThe Cover story in

Billboard and Q are written in a way that they

don’t stand out then the rest of the text on the

cover where as the cover story on my mag is presented in bold to attract

attention.

Image I have given a single image on the page that starts from the left downwards corner and spreads to almost 75% of the page giving the page a very strong look unlike the other magazines that have images cornered that make the page go dull.

TextI have used Stencil Font over the Content page in order to give it a symmetrical look when coming in combination with the image and the style of the page.

Color Scheme Its some what close to the scheme of the two magazine as they too have limited colors and good combinations. My whole page is based on only three colors with different tones Black, White & Red.

Image The Image of my double fold is inspired by the image of Miley Cyrus In Billboard which looks really nice and gives a good impact.

Color SchemeThe color Scheme of the page is based on Black, Red & White similar to the Rolling Stone and Billboard Double Fold

TextI have used Times New Roman Font on my Double Fold Spread to give it a simple yet elegant look.

Q2.How does your music magazine

represent different social groups

Age groupMy magazine is aimed to appeal the age group of 18-25 years old as POP Music is one of the most heard by the teenagers and most of the teenagers prefer listening to POP Music.

GenderMy Magazine is oriented for all males and females as Pop Music is heard world wide by all genders.

Income GroupsThe Price is kept reasonable in order to keep it in range for all target audience from the Middle to Upper Middle and Upper Class

This Genre is up for reading for all age groups and sects.

Q3. What kind of media institution

might distribute your music magazine and

why?

These are some on the distributors of POP MAGAZINES

Main inspiration of my Magazine was taken from Billboard and Rolling Stone.

INSTITUTIONS THAT MAY DISTRIBUTE MY PRODUCT

As these companies distribute most of the POP Magazines so its possible that they might Distribute my

Magazine too.

magazine?

audience?

PriceThe price is kept reasonable enough to attract the audience from the wider range.

Color schemeVibrant and hard colors are used keeping in mind the aspect of attraction for the audience.

PlugA free T-Shirt of the artist is given with the magazine as a gift for the consumer and fans.

ArtistsThe dressing of the characters is kept casual and they are from the same age group (18-20 years) so that the teenager group can relate themselves with the Artist

Image The Image of the Artist is in such a style that it feels as if he is in direct address with the audience which will increasingly Attract the audience

Q6. What have you learnt about technologies from

the process of construction this music

magazine?

CameraThe use of a DSLR (Digital single lens Reflex) Camera to conduct the shoot for the magazine

Editing Software Photoshop CS 3 to edit the image and construct the magazine pages for example adding & removing a background to or from the picture and other editing techniques.

BloggerCreating and maintaining an online blog on blogger. editing a blog , adding a post and updating the blog

Q7. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you

have learnt in the progression it to the

full production?

Through The process of this

portfolio forming I have improved my Photoshop editing skills, I

have learnt background placement,

picture touch up, effects over the

text and the page as a whole

etc.

Other then that I also

improved my photography

skills in comparison to

the preliminary

task my main task had a

much better exposed image.

I have also improved on

my vision due to the

extensive research and

working processes.
