February 21, 2016 4:00pm Jazz and Joe Alan Segal Quartet The Alan Segal Quartet plays the music we all love, quintessential jazz, in a manner that entices the audience to stop what they’re doing, turn and listen. Leaving the venue while this group performs is simply not an option. Who of us could ignore the strength and vibrancy, of Eddie Etkins on saxophone, the rhythms of Leon Jordan, the fills and styling of George Sinkler on piano and the tempos of bassist Alan Segal? Amici Strings Orchestra Amici Strings was assembled this past summer as a no-budget/no-pressure summertime ensemble by Alice Pavri, a violin, viola and piano teacher in Kimberton with contacts in the Main Line Orchestra, the Providence Chamber Orchestra (which she co-founded in 1998) and chamber musicians. It is made up of 23 local musicians who are playing just for fun and are not part of a concert series.
