(0.00– 0.03) Shot of the camera zooming out into a wide long shot to eventually show all band members in the frame sat in their apartment watching television and relaxing during the evening. This introduces us to the band and establishes part of the setting and their lifestyle. There will also be a change in depth of field. As the camera zooms out the frame becomes clearer – focus pull. Instrumental 2. (0.04 – 0.05) Wide shot close up of a train moving from the right side of the frame to the left revealing what is behind – the city of Manchester and establishes the setting. Instrumental 3. (0.06 – 0.09) Tilt shot with the camera tracking forward showing the city e.g. some of the skyline and tall buildings. This will be during the night to highlight that Manchester has a lively nightlife, contrasting with the band that are sat in their dark apartment. Instrumental 4. Shot of the camera zooming out into a wide long shot to eventually show all band members in the frame sat in their apartment watching television and relaxing during the evening. This introduces us to the band and establishes part of the setting and their lifestyle. There will also be a change in depth of field. As the camera zooms out the frame becomes clearer – focus pull.

69. (2.09-2.14) Girl at the bar in the club gets a message on her phone. She takes some of her drink and then gets it out of her bag and reads it. Camera zooms and tracks towards her as she does this.

InstrumentalShe reads a text message on her phone so we presume it is off him. The audience doesn’t find out what it says.

Band getting ready on stage again. There is close ups of each member of the band playing their instrument. Camera zooms into each one of them doing this.

71. (2.23-2.37)Several shots of the band playing on stage together. Camera tracks across the stage showing all of them in the frame. It also zooms out to get them all in a shot together. During part of the lyrics there is a close up of the vocalist singing into microphone.

At the end of the video we realize she has gone to meet him at his hotel, this relates to the title of the song as he could ‘Use Somebody’ and that somebody is her.
