I in particular enjoy videos by the artist Daughtry who was an American idol winner a few years back, for the way that video actually correspond to the lyrics telling the story to the listening and viewing audience. The video shows a build up of a story using bluish lighting techniques and normal story board film editing flicking between story characters and the featured artist. The story line comes across very powerful with the lyrics dragging the main subject character back into his past with quick significant clips that appear to the audience as flash backs cut to the beat of the track. The editing generally through out the video is very up beat and quick and this helps fit in much more of a build up of a storyline as well as the emotion that the artist is showg for his song which shows pain, tension and frustration but is portrayed in much more of a light look to the camera.

This is a very deep and meaningful video produced for One Republics track Stop and Stare. From shots that show the current state of character the songs based on to the past circumstances whereas life is taken due to a car accident. Editing is very much so in time to the beat with the music and full of action and suspense to keep the viewer/audience watching for the final outcome.

This video is cleverly put together to show two sides of the story on behalf of a man and a woman when it comes to relationships and both his and her feeling in both black and white and coloured editing. It is produced in black and white to portray what I think to be a clear image of the woman having masculinity and the man to be feminine as though the table has turned with symbolism to make the opposite sex see there faults in a well put together video that has a steady beat along side the lyrics.

This is a great representation of a late ’80’s early ’90’s music video. By watching this music video you can see the ways in which music videos has developed over the course of 10years regarding the way that music has developed, fashion and the ways in which that the music video has been produced and put together regarding the colour, camera shots and the ways that each bit of scene is cut to the beat regardless the tempo being fast or slow. The colouring again is done in a simplistic manor that really does work. In a way I find all the dancing and quick edits to be memorizing so much so that I only listen to the lyrics of the chorus.
