We used these images in our digipak as they are typical of an Indie band, and is common in other digipaks from similar artists and we feel that it was a typical genre convention. Both of these images show the mise-en-scene of our video, and how we tried to represent a typical Indie band, with the use of instruments, the clothing the artists were wearing and the simple studio location. These images are common in most albums and digipaks, not just of the Indie genre.

We decided to use this picture as our album back as we thought it worked really well because it was an image of the backs of the main artists. We used simple text for the album track listings, and we laid it out like other album covers from similar artists.

We really liked this image and thought it would be the ideal album cover, we liked it because it is typical of an Indie artist to have a simple album cover which contains an image, mainly of the band, and then the band name above. We also included an Indie record, Vertigo. We also liked the filter we used as it gave it a more professional look yet still made it look individual and suitable to the purpose. We feel that the digipak cover works really well and is effective towards an audience.

• We thought that the image of the guitars worked really well as they are typical within an Indie band and are also regarded as an Indie convention, which is what we aimed to achieve throughout the music video process.

We feel the magazine advert was effective and successful. The use of the image, which is also the album cover, is good as the audience would remember the image. A magazine advert is also used to sell the product, so the information is a must, and the use of the quote from NME is another source of advertising as readers of the magazine are almost being told to buy the album. Also, we used the record label again which is common in most adverts for all artists/bands.

• This still shows the typical Indie conventions; the clothing, the drum kit, the mic stands, the guitar and the location is a studio. The use of a music studio is common throughout music videos, not just Indie music videos and we feel that we were able to capture the video relatively well. This also shows that the two band members had learnt and rehearsed what they had to do, and Sam learnt the song on the drums and Owain learnt all the lyrics, which proved to work really well.

• This still image is of the main performer singing into a microphone. We liked this shot as it was a close up which is seen in a mass majority of music videos. Another reason this shot worked well is because it included the mic stand and it was a good shot of the lip syncing.

• These shots worked really well as most Indie music videos have a unique part in them, and this was our unique part as we had not seen it done in any other music videos and it still worked really well. This wasn’t our original idea as we were going to green screen, however we felt this worked better in the whole as we have used it three times in our music video.

• This shot worked well as it was a shot of all the band, the main singer, drummer and guitarist. This sort of shot is common in a majority of music videos as it is a full band shot. This is one of the only shots of the whole band we have and we think it works well as it shows the whole band from the beginning which is atypical Indie convention.

• This is the final shot of our music video and it fits the music really well, as the song fades out this shot fades out too and we feel it is one of the best shots of the video. The fading of the light is to represent the end of the song and it is done really well.
