The palace houses 12 Hindu temples which are dedicated to Hindu deities of Lord Shiva, Vishnu and their incarnations. The entry fee for Indians is INR 40 while for the international tourists the rate is INR 200.

Tourist places near Mysore palace:

To begin with, Karanji lake is a beautiful serene and calm garden cum lake which you could visit after a tiring day, it is very near to Mysore palace and Mysore zoo, so after a tiresome walk at the zoo you could just boat in here or indulge in bird-watching (you may spot beautiful peacocks besides other fauna), the nature is at its beautiful yet simple best!
