SINGAPORE IS WELL PLACED TO HOST GASTECH 2015: Recent reports underpin the fact that South East Asia is now the fastest emerging LNG market with a big appetite for LNG imports as well as technical expertise.
The Asian market is forecast to see a 54% increase in expenditure for offshore oil and gas infrastructure over the next five years, with South East Asia continuing to drive demand in the region.*
Home to the world’s fourth largest financial centre, it boasts a vibrant energy sector which already accounts for over 5% of its gross domestic product.
The Singapore government has also opened up the gas and LNG trading market to competition, welcoming new aggregators and originators of gas into the picture.
