Introduction:

This project contains a collection of compositions that I created. In this

collection you will find five compositions that I wrote during this school

year. You will also find useful

vocabulary for your life. In the first composition you will find vocabulary

to describe a person or a friend, also you will find more about me.

In the second composition you will find vocabulary to describe your favorite

food and your favorite restaurant. You can also read information about

the food of Mexico.

The third composicón contains vocabulary and information about one of

my favorite books, "The Unbearable Lightness of Being".

The Compositions four and five contain interesting information and useful

vocabulary to write an email.

In all other compositions, you can learn to use advanced connectors in

English (linking words) for example, however, on the other

hand, by the way, in spite of, somehow,but etc.

Also you can learn how to write your essay and you can to describe any place you have visited

As far as I'm concerned, I have learned many things so far.

Profile. Name: José Martínez Joel Position: student He's from Mexico. His first language is Spanish, however he is learning

English. He studies in the preparatory with some friends. He was born in

Mexico City and his birthday is on July first.

He's not very good at speaking English but, he is not the only one!.

He often works on weekends playing drums. He's a musician!. His family is

very cute and wonderful so he loves them.

Once in a while he likes to watch when the stars go blue. That's nice!. He

My favourite restaurant

The Cuetzalan serves delicious food. Their menu offers typical dishes from

Mexico. They use recipes to create different kinds of meal. Their menu includes

mole, enchiladas verdes and tacos.

The cuetzalan serves mole, it is wonderful because it tastes very sweet but once

in a while it tastes bitter, however it tastes very delicious.

In the afternoon you can choose from their menu of dish. In general all their

dishes taste delicious! I often go to the Cuetzalan.

There isn’t any better place for me!

Book Review

The unbearable lightness of being by Milan Kundera.

This is the story of an impossible love between

Thomas and Mary. The novel is set in a wonderful

city in France.

The book tells the story of a love at first sight

however this love is just a dream for Thomas.

Throughout the story, horrible things happen to

Mary and Thomas, but still their love will not die.

Milan Kundera only wrote five novels and it has

become one of the best love stories in world

literature around the world.

The unbearable lightness of being is

one of the most successful love stories for young people!!!

I’m just writing to check my travel plans for my visit next week.

I will arrive by train, since the train station is just outside the City, it’s probably

The mobile phone has revolutionised people’s lives all over the world.

All the people use the mobile phone every day for their leisure, studies or

to contact family.

Using the mobile phone has many advantages. Firstly you can talk with

other people around the world. One of the main advantages is equipment

with extra features (mp3, GPS, camera etc). However, young people have

adopted the mobile phone as form of expression.

First of all, the consumerism compels people to buy

the mobile phone just for fashion. In addition, the

mobile phone generates radiation that can affect

humans.

As far as I’m concerned, the mobile phone is useful if you know to use it.

The advantages and disadvantages of the teamwork.

The teamwork has helped many people because it’s a useful tool, it’s a

useful way to do things complicated and difficult.

There are several advantages. First of all, the effect of sinergy.

However, there are also some people who look for better results in

teamwork.

Secondly, it increases individual learning by sharing knowledge. In addition,

you can meet social needs.

On the other hand,

teamwork may cause some

problems.

Firstly, it lack of

organization. One of the

main disadvantages is

difficulty in making

decision. Lastly, less

effort of some team

members.

In my opinion, the teamwork is very useful if you can have a good organization. The teamwork is better than independent study.

How to waste our free time today?

In life, people have too many things to do, especially when we are young, for

example, friends, boyfriends, girlfriends and family. On the other hand, people waste their free time in front of television or

in front of video game! Other persons spend all their free time at work

because it’s very important for them. Somehow, we lack time for what is important. Actually we don’t have free

time for ourselves! It’s certainly true that we

waste our free time in useless things, however,

people could use their free time more wisely, for

example, doing exercise or having fun. As far as I’m concerned, we can use our free

time as we want but, somehow, we should have

fun and to be happy with everything we do. In

addition, time is money!

The love of money is the root of all evil

People often make the mistake of thinking that to have money is the only

thing useful in life. On the other hand, money is very useful because it

allows you to buy things and have fun, but it is very dangerous to have much

money, in addition, money is very important in the lives of all people,

however, when you fall for it, it becomes an indispensable thing for your

life!

On the other hand, you can say “money can buy many thing”, but actually,

it can’t buy happiness and friendship of a person. It is certainly true that

without money you die, but you also die for the love of money! In my opinion, you could waste your life with “the love of money” or you could be happy with some money. I believe that, there are more important things than money.

Dear Cesar: Last week, I visited the city of Oaxaca. I went with my family. We stayed

at a hotel in the center of the city. When we explored the city, we visited a

popular tourist attraction. On of the main tourist attractions in Oaxaca is

the archaeological area of Monte Alban because you can learn a lot of

information from our ancestors. On the other hand, you can see a beautiful

and wonderful sky. After our wonderful visited, we had lunch, we had a lot of traditional food

in this city. This restaurant serves delicious food. Their menu offers

typical dishes from Oaxaca. They use recipes to create different kinds of

meal. That’s great! In my opinion, there isn’t any better place for me! Oaxaca is a small city and there are lots of historical buildings. If you go to Oaxaca, you can learn a lot of things, for example, you can

learn about its traditions or gastronomy!

Hi Cesar!

I hope you are very well. Let me tell you a bit about my town. My town is called

Tulyehualco and it’s near the capital city. Tulyehualco is an old town. It’s also a

wonderful place for agriculture because there are large farming land areas. On

of the main tourist attraction in Tulyehualco is a historic church. This church

is very old, however it’s beautiful. There are also many historical houses in this

town. On the other hand, Tulyehualco has many traditions, for example, “the

fair of ice cream”. When you testing many flavors of ice cream is wonderful !

The worst thing about Tulyehualco is that it’s a bit quiet and there aren’t many

restaurants. But, somehow, Tulyehualco is an interesting place to visit.

In spite of this, I love Tulyehualco ! bye for now !

Learning Reflection

Why am I studying English?

Well, because it is very important for my life.

In my opinión, is important to learn English because it gives

us opportunities in the world, however it's very difficult.

I hope one day to learn English. All I need is motivation!

One of the main problems of learning this language is the

lack of interest in each of us, however, support of a teacher

is very important in the life of every student.

On the other hand, when you want to learn English, the best

you can do is read and read in english every day…

Actually, you can learn everything you want, but the most

important is your self interest to obtain new knowledge.

As far as I’m concerned, the english language is the second most important thing in my life!
