What is a digital footprint? Where is it kept?

A digital footprint is a record of you and your activities online that somebody could search.

Browser history Is a list of all the websites you have been on.

Cookies Store data about websites you visit such as your shopping habits.

Public post are messages and comments everybody can see.

Where is it kept? How can it be reduced?

Social media mentions links people to posts or photos online.

Geo-tagged posts Show the location where it was sent from.

Photo meta data Is hidden information linked to a photo such as the date or location.

⚫ Regularly delete your browsing history. ⚫ Delete your account on any websites you no longer use.

⚫ Ask people to get their permission before tagging you in a post or photo.
