•Google is a website that I use to find all my information. Google organizes the worlds information and makes it assessable for people all over the world to use. All the information you find on Google can be found in many different languages and translate between them.
Youtube
•Youtube is a website that I use to look at videos for entertainment but also for school work. Youtube is a video-sharing website where people can upload, share and view videos.
Photobucket
•Photobucket is a website I use to get pictures, and quotes. Photobucket is an image and video hosting, slideshow creation, and photo sharing website.
Dictionary
•Dictionary is a website that I use to figure out what the definition is for words I do not understand and to find similar words. There is the thesaurus, dictionary, encyclopedia and translator.
•Facebook is the world’s largest social network. Facebook helps connect people with friends and others who work, study and live around them. People use facebook to keep up with friends, upload photos, share links and videos and learn more about the people they know.
Digital Citizenship• Digital Citizenship is a way to teach people how to use
technology responsibly and properly. There are nine elements to Digital Citizenship. Digital Etiquette- electronic standards of conduct or procedure. Digital Communication- electronic exchange of information. Digital Literacy- process of teaching and learning about technology and the use of technology. Digital Access- full electronic participation in society. Digital Commerce- electronic buying and selling of goods. Digital Law- electronic responsibility for actions and deeds. Digital Rights and Responsibilities- those freedoms extended to everyone in a digital world. Digital Health and Wellness- physical and psychological well-being in a digital technology world. Digital Security- electronic precautions to guarantee safety.
Digital Citizenship• I use safe social networks to communicate with
others and do it in an appropriate way. • I will use Digital Commerce safely and legally
by only buying goods that are legal and not going overboard of buying goods.
• I do not steal or damage other people’s work, identity or property online.
• I do not hack into people’s information, plagiarize or create destructive worms or viruses.
• I will stop downloading illegal music.
Perfect Classroom Environment•A perfect classroom environment where technology is
used a lot for learning looks like everyone sitting quietly at their computers working on their assignment. The teacher is sitting at his/her desk working as well or walking around the room making sure everyone is doing what they are suppose to and answering any questions someone may have. There are no students checking emails, communicating with others, playing games or watching videos. Students are able to use iPod's to listen to and cell phones are aloud out. With cell phone’s students have to be responsible with them and not on them at all times.
The Dark Side• Three problems with everyone in a classroom
having a laptop or other digital learning device are:
• - The students could be checking their email, facebook, twitter and all their other chat services.
• -Students could be watching videos and playing games instead of doing their work.
• -There’s a possibility that students could be communicating through their laptops giving information about an assignment or even sharing the assignment.
Solutions
•The solutions that I can think for each three of my problems would be to block all email, chat services, videos and games so students can’t get onto them. Another solution would be to do daily or weekly checks on the laptops to make sure that the students are not sharing assignments and cheating.
