Facebook

Facebook is the world’s largest social network. It helps you connect with old and new friends,

see pictures, and let your friends know what you are doing, as well as see what your friends are

up tp. I like this website for all of those reasons, but dislike it for the same one.

Google

Google is the internet search engine that I use. Google helps you search for anything you need or would like to know. It brings you to the web sites you want to visit as well. I like Google because you never have problems with it.

YoutubeYoutube is one of the choice websites for me and

many peers. You can view funny videos, scary videos, informational videos, and show off what you

can do, whether it’s guitar hero or trying to set a new world record. I like it for all of those reasons.

Alberta Dressage

Alberta Dressage is a website that connects Albertan Dressage riders together. At this website you can find show dates, get your prizelists, find dates of other events and put your classifieds up. I

use this website all the time because I am the Youth Representative for central Alberta so I need to be informed of all

events. I also use this to find all my show dates.

Fugly Horse of the Day

Fugly Horse of the Day is a very entertaining website to both me and my Mom. It covers horse abuse, poor

“trainers”, and funny videos. It occasionally gives credit to actual trainers and rescuers as well as

inspiring riders and videos.

Digital Citizenship

Digital Citizenship is the idea that because the world is growing technologically, so the youth and adults need to embrace it. Digital

citizenship encourages teachers to use different technologies in teaching their students, as well as teaching the students how to use them. This generation of children are growing up in a world where

technology is being invented faster than anyone can grow. A basic cell Phone has been generated into a smart Phone, a walkman has turned

into an iPod. Technology can change every day learning styles, education, and basic lifestyles, and make it easier. However, not

knowing how to use your technology properly can result in money loss, jail, and a waste of time. Adults and kids need to know how to live in

this technological world and live with it.

Perfect Classroom Environment

In the perfect classroom environment, kids use all types of technology for learning. Teachers still interact with the students, but all lessons are delivered to kids in animated visuals and notes are given on documents where the kids read them and highlight themselves. All the students would have laptops, which would keep them from slouching and keep them better concentrated.

Teachers would still answer questions and further questions on a 3D board. Students would also get sound lessons, where through

the computer they are delivered “podcasts” which give the lesson, but make every student learn different learning styles.

This would also save paper and maybe start to save our environment. Projects would still be delivered orally because

knowing how to speak publicly is important and difficult..

The Dark SideIf everyone were to have to afford a laptop or

another digital learning device, problems would obviously arise. Of course, not all families could

afford an electronic device, some parents would be worried about their kids abusing the privilege, and a

school area could be dangerous for any device. However, solutions or exceptions could be found. If a

family refuses or cannot purchase a laptop, the school could have extras. They could also have a grant to buy laptops for certain and less fortunate

students. Teenagers also find ways to get into trouble. Students could be looking at websites not

suitable for school or harassing other students. There could be website blocks to prevent this and

serious consequences. In order to protect the devices, there could be safe places made in order to

store the laptops.
