In June 2001, I saw Dr. Damon for the first time, without really being aware of what that would mean for me. Seventeen years later, I am still

DR. RAMÓN PERERADr. Perera obtained his degree in Med-icine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona in 1981 and then went on to complete his studies in Stoma-tology in 1983. In 1986, he completed postgraduate studies in Orthodoncy at the Centro Europeo de Ortodon-cia in Madrid. From 1995 to 1997 he then completed a further series of studies with the Roth-Williams Centre. R. Perera has been a member of SEDO since 1991 and is also a member of AESOR, AIO and WFO. He is the author of various scientifi c articles and has given talks and presentations at numerous courses and congresses. Dr. Perera was a pioneer in the introduction of the Damon
